William your technique is without question, but something I do wonder about this design for lesser-skilled people is that far protruding eyepiece. Having the face so far removed from the camera and essentially creating a pivot point I wonder if users will not struggle with more camera shack than usual.

The Canon EF 600 f4.0 L IS III is actually slightly lighter than the RF 600. This is also reflected in the EF 400 III vs the RF 400. I believe the RF 400 & 600 lenses synchronise better with the R3 for IBIS & lens IS.

Must be exciting to somewhat being rich as well. When you have about 20k or more to play around with you can be as happy as him I suppose..,on top of that, the cameras now days do almost everything for you..😂 There is no more patience in a hut for days with that 35mm. or even a mirror camera, now is just point and shoot... Don’t get me wrong, if those cameras where a fraction of the price as well as the lenses, I would be all over them. Sadly in this economy, this is not for everyone.., and I mean the equipment. I’ve seen unbelievable shots capture with an EOS R and a Tamron lens like this ones and even better, wildlife photography has been always about patience but with this new technology like I said is shoot and go.., a good thing..? Maybe. But for me, nothing better than expectation. Keep enjoying photography everyone! And props to Canon for their good products.., just make them more affordable and have improvement options in your previous products like including animal eye tracking on the EOS R maybe one day..??? Sure..😒😒😒

I believe the question is in regards to the rails under the lens. It’s a lens support that allows you to mount the lens to the tripod instead of mounting the camera. Puts the weight on the lens and removes the pressure of a heavy lens from the camera mount. Also allows you to hold it as you see in the video. I hope that helps

@markrigg6623
@markrigg6623 2 жыл бұрын
It would be as good or better for bird photography as long as you're close enough you can mostly fill the frame. When the flagship R1 comes out, that will be the camera that has all bases covered with its extra resolution, like the alpha 1 does now. That's the only limitation to the R3, it's limited ability to crop with its 24 megapixels. In all other respects however , its a beast.

@@adamlinka9457 well higher resolution wouldn't be considered an "improvement" by the users that the R3 and R1 are aimed at i.e: sports pros and other photo-journalists. I would expect that the R1 (when it comes out in 2024 in time for the Paris Olympics) will have improvements such as : - higher frame rate : 40-50fps - twin CF express card slots - twin Digic X processors (or perhaps a newer generation ARM chip) - the same extreme ruggedness as the 1DXiii - even better AF acquisition speed - even better subject recognition & tracking I suspect Canon has been working hard on this R1 project for several years already and by the time it's launched in 2024 will be a big step forward from the R3
@y0utube5uxx
@y0utube5uxx 2 жыл бұрын
@@noelchignell1048 We don't know who the R1 is aimed for yet, but I guess it will be a "do-it-all" camera like the A1 or Z9. Sony proved with their sensors that speed and resolution are not mutually exclusive. I would pick a higher resolution camera over a low resolution model any day for wild life. I'm skipping the R3 and sticking to my R5 for this particular reason. I couldn't care less about 30 or 50 fps or bajillion fps, and I hope Canon will give me a good reason to buy the R1. Nevertheless the R3 is a great camera considering it got Canon's first ever stacked sensor.

The math: The R3 is 6000 x 4000 pixels, and the R5 is 8216 x 5477 pixels. How much would you need to crop in Left and Right on the R5 to match the pixel count of the R3 ? Let me help you out. 6000 ÷ 8216 = 0.73. Ie, the R3 has 73% of the pixels in either plane, of the R5. Or, another way, ... a 27% reduction in the, eg, horizontal pixel count of the R5 gives the pixel count of the R3, and if your shot is centred, that is a mere 13.5% crop on either side of the R5 frame to equal the pixel count of an R3.
