Thanks for this tutorial. My wife has a Rebel T7 and bought a wireless remote for it, but it turns out only the T7i has Bluetooth capability to work with a remote. While trying to figure out if there was a way to make it work I found your video and discovered that she doesn't even need a control to take pictures remotely. She was very happy to learn that.

Took me a few tries but I got it. Been using Canon and Minolta cameras since the 70s, but the DSLR is still mystifying! I miss my old B&W darkroom! Thanks for the help! Peace.

Outdated. Does not show the later Camera Connect app. I am attempting to connect a T7 to a brand new Samsung S24. I follow the instructions plus ever combination of uninstall/install, reset and on/off. Most frustrating of all, it connects!... but only 1 time in 10 attempts. The other 9 attempts, it just sits there till the camera times-out.

Sadly, didn't work and the screens shown on the video for the app must have changed. Mine are different and it won't let me past the "Register The Camera" screen. So frustrated.

Hi. To transfer photos to an Android device, you would need to do so wirelessly using the Camera Connect App. We also recommend taking a look at image.canon for automatically uploading and sharing photos across multiple devices. Learn more at: canon.us/3FTzO2K

How can I get my videos off my camera onto my android?
@CanonUSASupport4 жыл бұрын
Hello Marie: If you wish to transfer the MOV movie files on your camera to a an Android phone or tablet, you will need to use an optional SD memory card adapter. This adapter will plug into your device and allow you to insert the SD memory card to be read by your Android device. You can then copy the files to your device. The Canon Camera Connect app does not support transfer of MOV files by Wi-Fi. If you have additional questions, our camera support agents are happy to assist you. For support, please register your product to under your Canon Account at the link: Canon.us/mcahy. Once you log into your account, click the [Service & Support] link and select the support method. We hope this helps.

Wait, I thought this camera can do NFC too. How do you NFC transfer photos?
@CanonUSASupport4 жыл бұрын
Yes, your EOS Rebel T7 offers NFC capabilities. Make sure that feature is turned on in the camera's menu and then bring the "N" mark on the side of the camera near the matching "N" mark on other devices to get them to talk to each other. Can I connect to my PC.. without a smartphone?
@CanonUSASupport4 жыл бұрын
Hi! You can connect your EOS Rebel T7 to your PC using the optional interface cable IFC-200U. You can order this at canon.us/vjuh While the camera is not designed to communicate with a computer wirelessly, you can configure it to connect to Canon Image Gateway via a router and upload your images there. You can then log into Canon Image Gateway on your computer and download your photos and videos. We hope this helps!

@@CanonUSASupport Eish... This is regrettable. Covid-19 is exposing our unpreparedness.
Hello Aaron You can connect your camera by using your phone’s hotspot as an access point. The next question is what is your goal in connecting to the hotspot? If you wish to transfer images to the phone or to control the camera remotely from the phone, the best option would be to use the Canon Camera Connect app. In this case you would connect to a network generated by the camera. Details on the Camera Connect app are in the Rebel T7 wireless manual at the link here: Canon.us/g3vjg. If you have more questions our camera agents can provide one-on-one support. For support you can log into your My Canon Account and register your product. Here is a link: Canon.us/mcahy Once registered click on your product and then select [Product Support] in the Product Details window You can then choose your preferred method of support. We hope this helps.

I tried it. Yes you can connect the camera to the phone's hotspot, but then where do you connect the computer? It's not really connected to its own hotspot.
