@@baekmedier I was wondering this too. But can it be a z lens? When you look at the 15-35 and extend the barrel, that’s pretty much the distance the length of the lens if they wanted to make it internal. Not too much real estate to add the power connections to the lens for the power zoom adapters. My thoughts are if they do peruse a wide angle zoom, it’ll most likely be made to a similar size of the current 24-105 and 70-200 and just be lighter than both. Either that or they don’t go with the power zoom and just make shorter internal zoom version of one.

@ that would be pretty sweet. I need to look more into the adapters. Right now I have my own make shift zooming adapter using the DJI focus motor while on a gimbal. Since the zoom ring on the 24-105 is pretty easy to move it works like a charm. So I haven’t really found the need for the adapter yet. At the moment I’m not really zooming in camera for effect unless it’s a fast zoom in which I hold down the custom button to lock focus and zoom from 24 to 105 fast or vice versa by hand. On gimbal I just hope the focus point doesn’t move much. The parfocal look on these are sooo pleasing!

DO NOT buy the EF 24 1.4 II. That lens has a notorious problem in autofocus. I didn't know this 2 years ago so I bought 2 copies and both are defective. I would just buy the new RF version. Forget about the distortion. You're not using film. Everything now is digital and anything digital can be easily fixed using software. The problem with the new prime lens is that Canon is trying to cater to video shooters at the same time so the priority changed to making sure the 24, 35 and 50 have similar weight and size.
