Hi, I bought a 2600 and can’t find the ICC profiles for printing with photoshop manages colors. Do you k ow where can I find them? Their not on the Canon website.

Hello, thank you for your comment. You need to download the Media Configuration Tool and install it. After installing the MCT, download the Media Information File and install that through the Media Configuration Tool. You can decide which media you want to see or not see. www.usa.canon.com/support/p/imageprograf-pro-2600#idReference%3Dsoftware-drivers

Hello! This printer allow me to print on canvas like the 4000 or 4100?, thanks!

Yes, you can print on canvas with all of the printers in this lineup.

does the wax in the ink create difficulties with applying protective coatings (eg, Clearjet)?
@ITSuppliesINC5 ай бұрын
We haven't found this to be a problem but give us a call at 1-800-771-9665 so that we can ship you some sample prints to try with the protective coatings you use.

I’m considering purchasing a 2600 or the older 2100. I know the ink has improved for the 2600, but is it more expensive than the ink for the 2100? If so, do the ink improvements really make it worth the price difference? Thanks for your help.
@ITSuppliesINC6 ай бұрын
It depends how important scratch-resistance is to you. The new inks for the PRO-2600 have improved scratch-resistance. If that's not very important to you, the PRO-2100 will offer you similar prints. You'll note that the PRO-2100 is at the end of life and no longer available. You can browse all of Canon's Printers to learn more on our website itsupplies.com/canon-photofine-art-aqueous

hi I know this isn't in your control but what is your estimation on when we can expect paper profiles for these new printers canson, hanenmule, etc papers become released to the public? Thank you
@ITSuppliesINC7 ай бұрын
We're unsure when Canon will release profiles for these 3rd party medias. You can always use the media configuration tool to create custom paper types. We should have a video out soon.

how this printer calibrate the colors without a inbuilt spectrometer?
@ITSuppliesINC4 ай бұрын
Hello, thank you for your comment. The internal calibration on Canon printers calibrates to a known density baseline based on the media type you choose on the front panel. If you decide to use any 3rd party profiles that were created with the internal calibration, in order to achieve accuracy from that icc profile, it is necessary to internally calibrate the printer. When you choose a media type from the front panel, you are choosing the weight of the media, the type of black ink it will use as well as the starting ink density based off that paper coating. In order to calibrate outside the internal calibration, you would need to use a RIP software solution like ONYX, EFI, PrintFactory, etc. as well as have the use of a compatible spectrophotometer like the i1 Pro 3 or i1 Pro 3 Plus.

@@ITSuppliesINC so, all the canon pro series without this calibrator cant be realible over time to print with color accuracy any color profile. Right?
@ITSuppliesINC4 ай бұрын
@@camilosrmusica Hello Christian, just to level the playing field, the majority of printers in the world do not have internal calibration densitometers or spectrophotometers. Again, calibrations are set on aqueous printers via the media type you choose on the front panel of the printer and in the printer driver. So typically if you are printing photographs and not cmyk design files you only need to create a new icc profile when you feel the printer has drifted. We actually offer this service. You can call our main number and ask for someone that can help create an icc profile for you printer. If you do print CMYK designs, a RIP solution software would allow for more accuracy in printing those designs after going through a full calibration/linearization, ink limit, grey balance adjustment and then icc profile. So to answer your question, we use color management software via a RIP or x-rite profiling software along with a spectrophotometer to measure and then to control color on printers that may have drifted or do not have a profile for the media being used.

@@ITSuppliesINC the Z9s of HP have the calibration and the spectrometer...so they are ready for the demand of reability.
