Thank you for waiting for my video. At this time, I prepared the performance with Pachelbel’s canon. There are various piano arrangements for this piece. Among them, I personally like Lee Galloway’s and Dan Coates’ versions. For this video, I used Lee Galloway’s version because lots of people requested it. I hope that you guys like this performance as usual. Thank you so much for your support! Please keep safe and healthy!:) Have a great day!

I don't get why people complain it's overplayed. It is THE wedding song. Do people complain why we sing the same happy birthday song on every birthday? I would love to listen to other pieces like Canon but so far no other piece comes close to being the defacto wedding piece.

My grandmother told me that when she was young she used to play this song on her piano, but over time she forgot, since then this song seems to sound even more special to me and now I'm trying to learn it on my keyboard. I hope one day I can play it for her, and these kinds of videos really motivate me. Thank you. Edit: I did my best, but the first two times I was wrong, luckily it was at the beginning, what was hardest for me was playing with both hands, but I did it, My uncle came by surprise with my cousins, no one knew (he is her other son) My hands were shaking, I had a lot to mess up and screw it up, but I had already practiced for more than a year I have to do it. My abuelita was moved to tears, When I finished I ran away because of my nerves and then she thanked me, thank you all for your support this year. Muchas gracias, my Oye is Happy now (I call her Oye)

This has been one of my favorites since I was a child. My dad, on a stormy night when he was home, not working at his second job, would always pull out the records and play them on the Curtis-Mathis console for us to hear. Kinda funny because his other pieces such as the "Chaconne in f minor" is full blown depression. But yeah I agree, the reason Pachelbel became well-known during his time is how he convey emotions to his listeners, this is also the reason why Bach admired him. It’s the westerns who said it’s overrated because of how they used canon in D for their own song. Apparently they’re using Canon in D on Weddings Day surpassing both “Wedding Entrance” and “Here comes the Bride”. wedding songs. You heard Memories by Maroon 5? How about Beautiful in White by Shane Filan (Westlife)? There’s hundreds of songs that literally copied from Canon in D composition. You’ll see why it’s “overrated” by them

I know this piece is overplayed and well hated in the classical music community but this piece could be the stepping stone for someone out there that just discovered this world and yet to indulge in more. Lets just appreciate and encourage people to listen to this and give them suggestions as well. After all, we were all beginners once.

Definitely man, well said. Its just really toxic and dumb to simply set these pieces aside only cuz they're famous, it could be the differenche for someone to get into classical music or whatnot. Sames goes for ludovico einaudi's music, yann tiersen pieces and stuff

Learn it, either sheet music or from video. It's actually simple, just take it slow, learn left hand then right hand. Left hand is simple chord progression of D, A, B, Fsharp, G,D, G, A. Right hand is melody. Easy you can almost play by ear once you have left hand down

@DJAZfake

@@mingfantasya3317 The simplicity said is not about playing it, which might be actually hard, it's about the music theory behind this. The harmonic base is so simple and there is nothing "spicy" or "advanced" in terms of theory mastering. If you take a piece like "Bohemian Rhapsody", there is much more to it when it comes to catchy movements, dissonance, "borrowed" chords; changes in key, compass, instruments and style.
