Tyler, I was waiting for your video so long... I am beginner instagram content creator and I did not use any camera before, only iPhone. And here in Russia we have so huge price difference between m50 mark 1 & m50 mark 2 (which is so hard to find actuality) and I was struggling with the possibility of vertical video shooting. So I am sending all positive vibes to you and wishing all the best because just right now you saved me extra $90 and helped to get right (I hope so) decision!

i dont see any reason not buy this in 2021. the fact that mark 2 released in oct 2020 has the same feature, and slightly improve auto focus. everything else the same. for those who has mark 1 in 2018.. congratulation your camera has been renew 3 years younger. instead 3 years old, now it become 3 months old.

I just bought a Mark II. I bought it for video, but not for 4K. I'm not new to cameras, photography or even Canon, but I am new to the M50 Mark II. Since I had to buy the whole kit, I figured that I might as well buy new as try to piece a used kit together. I bought the kit with both the 15-45mm and 55-200mm lenses, so I might look to pick up another used M50 body. At this point, I want to learn how to use the M50 Mark II to make good video, not necessarily cinematic video, but good video that can be uploaded or streamed to KZbin or Facebook. I expect to shoot 1080p at 30fps, but don't have the upload speed to support that live feed. My KZbin download resolution is 480p and my Facebook download resolution is typically 360p. My internet download speed is typically 10mbs and upload 1mbs, so it's apparent that we don't have very high speed internet out here. I've been shooting Micro 4/3 for years, so one of my options is to use that and OBS for uploads or to use the M50 and Canon's webcam utility for uploads. It really doesn't matter which, but, right now, I'm looking for good information about how to use these cameras for video. Your videos may be part of the answer.

Bought a new M50 with Kit Lens an SD Kart and Bag für 490$ I am excited to lear more about photography and filmmaking until this point I only used an iPhone but the new HDR Stuff freaks me out It looks amazing on the Phone but everywhere else I cant geht the colors right or use it propperly in FCPX. So I wanted an image that is not overprocessed like in the new iPhones and the flaring bugs me, soooo really excited on the M50 hope it can meet my expectations.

Nice! Yeah you will get much more usable footage from a dedicated camera than you will with most iPhones, hope it works out well for you!

Couldn’t of said it better mate give a pro a budget camera and a amateur a 1dx and bet the budget camera with the pro user photos will come out better

Yessss 100%! Too much focus on specs and not enough focus on the process and storytelling!
