You forgot about Canon Dual-Pixel Autofocus which the same that is in Canon M50. Also their EF lenses work even better with adapter on R bodies than on DSLRs

Since ZV e10 is marketed as a vlog camera, not sure how it performs with photography. Trying to pick a beginner camera to learn photography...is the zve10 a good pick?

I feel like the photos won't differ too much between the (Sony) cameras since mostly same sensor and capabilities are used and they have more or less features. ZV-E10 is marketed as vlog camera since they have ADDED things like that flipout screen, mics, gyroscopic data etc. Remember though it does not have a viewfinder so if thats something you wanna use, it might be a dealbreaker.

I have the SL3 (250d) and the ZV e10. both are good for photos but I think I prefer the SL3 for photo since it has a viewfinder and the screen is a little better. but overall, for videos and other things, I prefer the ZV-E10. I got this sony camera + kit lens on black friday for $550 on Amazon Sweden.

Its fine to have several cameras, but I would recommend sticking with one brand (and especially lens mount). That way, you will save on lenses and you won't have to buy two sets of lenses for each brand (or use adapters).

And probably few more, like Fuji XT-100(?) I believe was also good beginners camera, but I think these are bit more popular. Nevertheless, the point was to show people how to read the specification and make out if its important for them, what it means etc.

Ahh my bad, I didn't dig too deep into formats and their effect on the video performance. Now I wonder, how would M50II stack up against ZV-E10 in real world video test. Do you think the difference is really noticeable?
