Selling dye-based-ink prints that will fade, even in indirect sunlight is something you should "disclaimer" before people buy. They should know that due-based prints fade, and to make them last a bit longer, they need to put their prints in a dimmer rooms, and use UV glass.

Thanks I’ll let people know, so far I haven’t sold a whole lot of prints as of yet, but from my research and most notably I have found Dye based ink can last upto 20 years in the right conditions. That being said Pigment Based inks if not handled properly can smear on certain papers.

After researching if you want photos to absolutely last 50+ years you’re probably better off going with a laser printer. The photos from an Inkjet should last a considerable amount of time 20+ on the right archival paper and in a room with little to no direct sunlight.

I mean Amazon is still basically the best place for online shopping and you can always tell if you're buying third party on the right side of the screen if the seller doesn't match the vendor lol. Also, the only way you'll see the third party sellers is if the item is out of stock, which makes sense if you're saying it was out of stock everywhere else. At that point find a different place to purchase or just wait

So happy to have come across this, currently have this printer in my cart and I want a nice photo printer for doing photography prints, as well as making transparency prints for screenprinting. Also want to make DIY photo zines. Please do a video on printing with that expensive paper with this printer if you get the sample pack, Id love to see that!

To be fair I haven’t had any experience with Vinyl so I can’t say yes unfortunately. My knowledge on vinyl is limited to some things Ive watched on Cricket machines.. I have some limited experience with t-shirt iron on printables

I will have to test that out and let you know but I can tell you it’s fairly quick from start to print. A 13x19 takes roughly around 2 minutes if not faster

i made some tshirt transfer for a big family from my work. The all went in a river and all the ink from the shirts bleeded out. What am i doing wrong?

I have no idea, depends I guess on what the transfers instructions tell you to do to take care of the shirt after printing? Did you pre wash the shirts? Were the transfers Inkjet? Did you wash the transfer 48hours after pressing?

I honestly haven’t really checked to see, I have used HP Matte Photo paper in this, other than that I really haven’t checked those specifics

I print some pretty thick HP matte photo paper, unfortunately I haven’t tried with anything thicker than that

Are you able to print on transparency paper or film for screen printing?

Probably not film, as I don’t think Inkjet is good for screen printing. You’ll probably need a specific printer for that. But I think you should probably be okay with Transparency printing

Stock in Canon 251xl. Program is just the basic print app in windows, although if you want you can download and use canon proprietor software

They’re ink tanks so I’m 100% sure they’re Dye based, it uses the 251 cartridges

You’ll just select the paper size from your computer when you go to print through the printer program/application

As of 2021, in Hungary an average monthly salary is around 1000$..and this exact printer here in Hungary costs around 500$...So basically the 50% of someones monthly income. And you were waiting FOR MONTHS 'cause you didn't want to pay 330$ for it... its fuckin ridiculous. What perecntage is 330$ of your monthly income? like FIVE?
