Welcome back! I've watched many of your videos and I enjoy the compositions in your test footage clips. You've helped inform my decision on which type of Sony CCD-TRV camcorder to get, and I've gotten into recording with old tech as well (MiniDV and a 720p flash memory camcorder with extreme zoom ahaha). Can't wait to see more!

Thank you! I've been trying to work on compositing and I feel like I've been getting the hang of it haha. More is coming, I've been playing around with some Sony DVD camcorders recently, and one of them has an insane lens, really excited to upload that one (I don't know when though, may be a couple months out still). Which 720p camcorder have you been using?

@@FatCatTech I can see a difference from your older vids! And looking forward to seeing those DVD cams! I have a Panasonic HC-V10 that has 63x optical zoom (70x enhanced) though the 720p quality looks a bit like upscaled standard def and looks worse than MiniDV especially in low light. The 500 (38x), and 700 (21x zoom, largest sensor) had the best image quality in that line of camcorders though the later hc-v180, hc-v550 and a few others did 50x optical/90x intelligent zoom before heading away from extreme zoom capability

I love CCD cameras. This is my main point and shoot til this day along with a Nikon D700 DSLR. I did some really good night footage with this recording the 2 Amtrak trains passing through my town I uploaded. The audio is especially nice too, high bitrate.

Nice pictures and video! Noticed you have some decent weather radios there as well!

Thanks for the kind words, always appreciated :D And yes! I have a collection of weather radios, you can see them in action on one of my other channels: WX FatCat (www.youtube.com/@WX_FatCat )

@@FatCatTech Ah that's hilarious! I've been subscribed to that channel for such a long time, never made the connection to this channel 😂. Quite an impressive collection of cameras and weather radios as well! Love your content.

@@Montecat33 Yeahhh I really need to do more cross-channel promotion, but I don't generally like the way it comes off, don't wanna seem too hungry for views Lol But yes! I'm quite proud of my collection, hopefully in due time the rest of it will surface on this channel xD

In response to some of your problems with this particular test footage video I seem to really like the nature and scenery in your location I feel like you should do more of that, instead of just the city or why not switch it up and do kind of a test footage tape vlog to see a walk around test, with a flip camera to a canon, PowerShot and a Sony handycam i’ve been struggling to find Vlogs filmed on these particular types of cameras to see what it looks like when I have gotten nowhere so why not switch it up Ps I know you already done a test footage walk around test with the flip ultra F260 or F230 on this channel but I think you should still do that with other cameras that you have sorry for the long comment by the way

Thanks! I appreciate the scenery as well, I just like to have some of the city shots mixed in since they display motion a lot better, and offer more dynamic and diverse settings versus everything just being green Lol The vlogging test is one I've been meaning to add to these, at the very least I fully plan (and have already recorded) to add a number of handheld videos to the test footage. I used to record vlogs on camcorders like these, though I don't really like to make vlogging content as much anymore, unless I have something big happening. And don't worry about leaving long comments Lol I like and appreciate every comment I read, sorry for my reply being so late :P
