Very good review!! On 4:08 you mentioned that you can guide the camera to learn and study the subject. How do you do that? I do not know the camera could learn to improve itself.

Thanks for your reply. The Canon EOS R5 comes with deep-learning AI programming, resulting in improved autofocus performance. If the camera set to a wide AF mode and fails to detect the subject, I utilize a custom button with spot AF to direct the camera to the subject. Once guided, the system registers the subject and continues tracking it, even as it moves.

It is an automated process within the camera. There is a good article in canon website that explains the entire story of how canon developed this deep-learning AF for birds. nikon z8 or r5 for wildlife photography?

Both are excellent cameras I would say. If you are already into the Nikon system, you better look at Z8 as it will be much easier for you and no transition. You can also use Nikon lenses with Z mount adapters and so on. If you are in a canon system, it’s worth looking at R5. Having said that Canon R5 is a 4-year-old camera and there is a new version of it expected sometime this year and Nikon Z8 is a much newer camera. Price-wise also there is a huge difference and Z8 will cost you much higher than R5. So it comes down to a personal choice in the end. Technically both of them are excellent equipment to work with. Kindly let me know if you have any specific questions and we can answer them for you.

R5 is one of the best cameras for wildlife photography, if not the best. Your title is misleading, first time know it's underestimated by someone.
