Thank you Phil - they are migrating though right now and it is a treat to see them. I hope to see more tomorrow depending on where i shoot. I drove 3 hours yesterday morning to shoot eagles, then the 3 hours home..... LOL - it has been a really long weekend and I may do it again Tuesday morning. 🙏💖🤗

The image quality is outstanding! Canon color science is great 👍🏻. Definitely gives Nikon a run for its money

Thank you, thank you. I still think Nikon has the best or richest color but I think Canon AF is far superior even on the entry level bodies - at least in my rental use. The R7, even though it is a little older (3 years LOL) is an amazing body and pared with an L lens.... or even one of the newer lenses - stunning. Thank you for letting share. 🙏💖🤗

Congratulations on so many beautiful shots. Love that combo. I shoot exactly the same R7 & RF 100-500mm. I have used pre-capture with my R7 occasionally. I assigned the menu item to the front "DOF preview" button so I can quickly select pre-capture mode if needed in a hurry.

I have a front button set to change my exposure compensating for light conditions. I had it on a couple of days ago, at least I think I did. The R7 is still an amazing little camera body and I do LOVE it with the 100-500! 🙏🤗💖

Thank you, thank you. Keep shooting your 90D for a bit unless you just cant wait. The R7 II when it does come out should be better than what I showed you. If you want to just strait to the front of the line, get the R1 or R3 and an older 800 F5.6 or the 600 F4 I have. For me, I am waiting for the R7II!! See you again soon. 🙏🤗💖

New to the channel, nice work. I shoot the R5 100-500 combo. I’m holding onto my money waiting for the R7ii. Weight is a factor for me, so in theory, the R7 ii with the 100-500 wound a dream set up! I can’t wait!

I agree 100% - I am hoping for and waiting for the R7 II as well. I shoot a variety of bodies - The R7 and R3 are my two main bodies.... until the R7 II comes out. 🙏💖🤗

I love the American Kestrel pictures. I love Hummingbirds. This time of the year I am limited to Anna's Hummingbirds since the Rufous still migrate out of the area in the winter, the Anna's stay since we no longer get cold in the winter, yes cold is relative. LOL. In the summer there are more species in Eastern Washington that I have yet to see.

Jeff - - 2 and a half months..... I got to shoot eagles after a 3 hour drive Saturday - may do it again on Tuesday LOL. The Kestrels are always a treat to see and I dont get many great shots usually, but it was just the prefect magical day. And, I forgot how much fun the R7 is. 🙏💖🤗

@@JonnyPink65 I saw you got some very nice Bald Eagle pictures. I was wondering how far you had to go. I saw that new Bald Eagle counts have been released and they now say that instead of 900 mated pairs, we have 9,000 mated pairs. I always suspected the first number was low, I was seeing too many to believe that we only had 900 pairs. The new number would definitely explain why they are so easy to find here.

@@jeffolson4731 I drove about 157 miles - 3 hours or so to be there by 7 to shoot for a couple of hours, then drive home. Just finished the first draft of the video - if there are no mistakes, it goes up. It was worth it and I am thinkin of going back up next weekend since it should be sunny. I may stay and shoot at the beach there as well. Oh man it made me happy!! And, they look like a mating pair since she was squawking at him and he had his head down...... 🤗💖

I was shooting at the Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Reserve on Woodley in Van Nuys CA. I went out hoping for a few bluebirds and just had the most amazing day. I really didit take any gear with me and had a blast!!! 🙏💖🤗

The R7 does have pre capture.. and it works ok. the only problem I have found is that you have to reset it each time you turn the camera off and back on

I've tried pre-capture(RAW Burst) on the R7. It creates a compressed file that only Canon Digital Photo can open. The files it creates are pretty large.

Here is the info on pre-capture. called pe-shooting The Canon EOS R7 camera's pre-capture feature is called pre-shooting and is part of its RAW burst mode. Pre-shooting allows the camera to capture images up to half a second before the shutter button is fully pressed. This feature is useful for capturing subjects that are difficult to time, such as a baseball being hit or an archer's arrow.

I would LOVE to be shooting in the snow! River chicken is kind of a joke - James and I were shooting and I forgot what bird we saw but he make up river chicken and so I use it here and there. Heck, Google sometimes identifies my birds wrong anyway so that works as well as any. You have eagles up there and that is a treat for me here to see them!! Enjoy your snow. 🙏💖🤗
