Good day! Thank you for the video. I know it was long time ago, but do know plug pinout of the external power supply for this camera? I have the camera, but could not find the pinout anywhere on Internet.

No idea sorry, but the ground side of the plug is most probably connected to the internal metal parts of the camera, it should be esy to find out with a multimeter in continuity tester mode.

Thank you. I've used a connector from old Motorola charger. One of its pin has something about 1,7kOhm between it and camera's "-" battery pin (or USB cable's ground). The other pin is open connection to both "+" and "-". Or it could be just wrong connector. Maybe you know why the camera's current draw can grow suddenly? (I.e. if it is powered from batteries or accus, when viewing pictures it is OK, but when trying to power it on in shooting mode, battery voltage drops lower than 4.9 V and it says "replace batteries"). It was not like that before.

sorry, i couldn't help but lol when the cap got you! Do you plan to make a working camera out of the parts of the broken ones? Hopefully they all dont have a common problem! I have some evil caps coming up in one of my teardowns, i'll be arms length with a hand in my pocket!

Yeah I was expecting putting a good one together, but it looks like somebody tinkered them and ruined most of the flex circuits connectors, so I'm not sure of how it will end.

Hello, thank you for the great, albeit shocking video! I picked one of these up at the thrift store for $8.00 US but I am getting 'memory card error' and the format option is not available from the menu (grayed out). I am using an older known good Kodak 512MB SD card (from what I have read online, 2GB is largest size these will take), so I think the problem is most likely with the camera.Thanks to your video I can see the card reader is part of the main motherboard. Just wondering if you have had any experience with this error. Cheers!

got one of these for free everything works minus the card but that's on me I bought a 32 gigabyte card and she can only handle a 2 gig card so ill order another card and hopefully she works
