Nice little idea. I'm considering buying one of these for the same reason. It's just too much hassle carrying my DSLR, lenses and other gubbins on the bike.

Hi Kevin thanks for the information I have just purchased the same camera and yep no cold shoe. We have a KZbin channel OZLAPN ( caravanning and exploring Australia.) I'm thinking of doing the same for an external mike. Where did you find that bracket please. Cheers Graham

Hi Graham, thanks for watching my video, I have put a link to the bracket I used, I just unscrewed the centre slide and screwed it into the plastic gopro mount, another way it could be done is to get some good double sided M3 and just stick the slider to the tape and the other side to the camera, if your only using a mic receiver or a small light its unlikely it would ever come off.
