Can you explain the Manuel mode again in more detail. I am a film photo and using the T5 for the first time. I'd like to use the "M" mode but I am not able to get the f stops down.

You pushed a lot of buttons to change settings but you didn't say what buttons you were pushing nor could we see as it was so dark and your thumb was in the way. I'm having trouble setting my camera and would like a step by step. Can you recommend a video I could watch to get that help please

No. Get a t5i, or a SL1 Camera, this has no autofocus during video. Do not get for KZbin.

Should I invest in a lil WiFi memory card like EyeFi? I only ask cause I am going on a cruise in 3 weeks and would love to have instant images sent to my laptop or iPhone to check them out and tweak them?

I do not suggest a wifi as card. I personally use an apple adapter that allows me to plug my SD straight into my phone and download directly from the card. This should be a bit cheaper and you will not need a subscription. Have fun on the cruise

It's not really a sporting event kind of camera because it doesn't shoot at a high frame rate I wouldn't do it but if you have to, put it in sport mode, and use the autofocus.

Thanks for doing this video. I just bought this camera and had no idea how to use it. I had the original film rebel and love it which is why I bought this one. Just looking at this one kind of overwhelmed me. I now feel more comfortable playing with this one tomorrow. No you cant. It has a built in microphone. Even with the converter u cant use an external microphome

Was thinking about getting this camera, (on sale $199 refurb) or the Canon sl1 ($250 refurb) and went ahead and got the sl1 because of the touch screen and mic port, I love the sl1 and would recommend it to anyone!

+Samin Yeasar that's to zoom in/out while you are watching the pics you already took. And it works as a digital zoom when in live view mode.

Raw + jpeg saves the photo twice. Once in both formats. One is not better then the other really. I just shoot in raw to save memory'

Make sure the switch is set to "AF" and the mode is either set to Auto, or Auto with no flash, then press down on the shutter as hard as you can to trigger a picture.

+Cade Price try looking up Phillip McCordall, on here or his website. I think he would help you, he does alot about lenses, entertaining and educational. So is it the 18-55mm lense? Depending on lighting, you won;t get your fstop lower than around 2-3 in daylight. Telephoto even less. If you are doing low light photos, you may want to try a 50mm prime lense, or get a tripod and raise other settings to get your fstop down, (I wouldn't go over iso 6400- too grainy/noisy) but maybe that will heil. I don't think anything is wrong w/ your camera, unless you are saying that its different when you switch to man focus. Manual mode, you can change all the settings. Hard to know exactly whats going on from description.

I just purchased this Camera from Amazon to do Real Estate Photography. I also purchased a 10-18mm wide angle lens to go with it. The size limit is 2MB per photo online. Is this something you adjust on the camera or fix it in Post Production? I'm using Corel Paint Shop Pro X6 to adjust the photos. I'm getting the camera on Tuesday along with the wide angle lens. I am going to shoot my rental houses first and want to do Real Estate Photography full time if I can get good at it. I know this is a low end camera except you have to start somewhere.

Well, what you can do for starters is lower the quality of the shot, and change it's file kind. To do this go into Menu- Image Quality- and set it to medium. (8MP) Make sure to change it back though when you're done shooting your real estate business because the images aren't as sharp.

Great video buddy, I think you really do great explaining everything. I just purchased my Canon rebel T5 from Costco for $420, I thought it was a steal of a deal. How do you make your 3 inch monitor show a live preview of what your lenses looking at? I can only use the little square on top of the camera for some reason. The only time my camera shows me the picture I have taken, is after I've taken that picture. It doesn't show me a live view

there a small button shape like a camera next to a red dot that to record if on video but it to switch views. BE WARNED it greatly decreases shutter time so processing the photo takes a second longer. Happy snapping.

its the lense you're using. different lenses have different ranges of aperture

It's all in the lens. Not the camera. You'll need a better lens to get a lower aperture.

I've taken some decent photos but I'm having some clarity and sharpness issues yet, mostly due to my lack of post-processing experience. If you have not already found one, I use the new release of the "nifty-fifty" 50mm 1.8 . Very affordable at ~$100 USD and takes really crisp pictures.

No it does not. It's like a microscope in terms of it actually zooms in instead of using that "digital zoom" garbage that cell phones use.
