Additional requirement. The paper tray and extension must be pushed in to the closed position. When that is done, the tool button is unnecessary. This particular necessity is covered in the model's manual in clear, understandable print AND video marked "Replacing a FINE cartridge".

Thanks for your input. I found that my printer had an additional issue, which was noticed from this video. Additionally, the green ribbon cable was wound up in the print head track. FYI to anyone else that could run into the same issue.

You should be able to use the xl cartridge. The xl just has more ink so the cartridge size should be the same.

Hey can you help me your video helped I have the Canon TS 3522 however the ink refill worked a couple times but now it's printing blanks after I refilled it last night any tips on how to fix this please reply ASAP thank you please note I clicked the reset button held at 3 seconds and I also held down the stop button turn the printer on and off and I also held the printer cartridge against a paper to see if any ink is coming out and the part on the cartridge that looks like a film strip yeah I pressed that against a tissue paper to see if any ink comes out and the ink lines black and the color comes out fine so I don't know why it's not printing help me out please thank you

I don’t know where y’al and stops where it’s l bought your printers but you might want to look into that. I own this printer and have never had to rig or mess with any power cord or anything else on the thing when changing my ink. Once I open the flap it starts to flow back & forth as it’s supposed to. Are you getting an error message? Have you tried holding the triangle button down for a few seconds?

@@raulguerra1619 The E0 error means there is something wrong with that ink cartridge. Is it the correct cartridge for this printer? Does it still have the little plastic strip on it? Sorry, I know you have probably tried these solutions but just giving you ideas.

Have you tried unplugging the printer for a few minutes. If that doesn't work then it might be the ink absorber. Sorry I dont know a lot of details on this error message.

It says on the instructions not to unplug your printer when the green light is displayed.. I think I messed my printer up doing this 😢

Canon helped desk is the one that advised of these steps. I made this video to save other people from having to call the help desk. I'm sorry if it caused any problems. 😔

UPdate the firmware: issue is fixed. -> Good short right to the point, would encourage you to instruct how to connect to the user interface, (UI) for setting up wake on command settings, time out settings, firmware update, quiet mode. Login via printer's IP address, password is the printer's serial number. Firmware version is 1.030 currently.

Not sure, but try holdlng the stop button down (usually the red rectangle) for over 5 seconds. See if this clears the error message and let's you start printing again.

It's poor engineering like this in Canon printers that made me switch to Epson, which perform MUCH better. How could they possibly design a system in which you have to unplug the printer during startup in order to change the ink cartridges? Very shoddy engineering by Canon.
