I despised the show Skins over the first 2 seasons. I couldn't understand why it was so popular. The only criticism it got was regarding its controversial content, and I just thought it was a poorly written show, with hugely unlikeable characters. But fuck, I am 2 episodes in to the 2nd generation and it is unearthly how much it transformed. I hope it doesn't let me down, because it's off to an extraordinary start.
