Good morning Dave and Dawn! Lovely Canons Ashby, we really enjoyed watching your tour... sat in bed with a brew, great start to the day! I think our favourite room is the Tapestry room bedroom could easily spend a night in there! It's a very atmospheric house and the wall paintings in Spensers room are an absolute gem! Morning guys, a lovely relaxed tour here, this was a gorgeous Elizabethan house, beautiful architecture. Its great that the tower can be rented out for a holiday, it would be very relaxing to stay there. Amazing that it was the National Trust that discovered those paintings during the repair works, love the story of the lion 🙂 The reconstructed gardens are beautiful and its great that they have planned tours here throughout the year. That was beautiful ~ Anna 👍

Nice Tour of Canons Ashby House. I feel for the Cook. My Great Grand Mother was a head cook at a big house in Devon in the 1800s. My Grandparents were all born in the 1880s ❤

Another fascinating video about place that I had never really heard of. I was struck by the lifespan of Sir Henry Dryden whose tenure spanned the entire Victorian age, and by the fact that he lived there for so long but never knew of the Elizabethan wall paintings which were discovered during repair work in the 1980s.

Oooh the house has a love court yard. I wish we had a fancy library like that. The paintings in the guest bedroom are really interesting how cool that the national trust were able to find it. All the coats of arms are really cool. This is a lovely one. Xx
