Come for a walk with us around the beautiful house with very ancient origins.
Starting out as a priory for monks, after the dissolution the land and priory were bought by the Cope family who were very strong Puritans in faith. They used many parts of the priory to build Canons Ashby House and you may spot some of these in the Tudor section. The last time the house was altered was in 1710, apart from some major rescue works by the National Trust when they took it over, it is exactly as it was 300 years and more ago!
