On the 29th of September 1924 Alfred Ash bought Packwood House at Auction. 118 years later thanks to the National Trust we are able to visit this beautiful example of an English Country House. Walls lined with stunning tapestries, carved wood and Delft tiles even Queen Mary made a visit in 1927 and took tea, her cup and saucer are in a small glass display cabinet! On June 30th 1941 Baron Ash gave Packwood Park and Gardens, along with £30,000 to the National Trust in memory of his parents. His wishes were that fresh flowers were arranged in rooms, and these are grown in the gardens.
If you love English Country Houses, this is another stunning example and I hope you enjoy our walk through. The Garden are spectacular, especially the Yew Garden.
