Wow, when you add FM to the snare at 2:39 it really highlights the contrast between your clean vocals and the raw/noisy edge to the DFAM, and then when you push your voice (!!) to meet that edge... Again: wow. You've taken your craft to a whole other level here. If concerts were still a thing, this is definitely an act I'd travel distances to see performed live.

Jay, I mean this with the greatest of respect: please, for the love of all things gracious and good, stop making me so damn jealous of your talents! I seriously think you make the best videos showcasing what these beautiful instruments are possible of!!! There is so many videos out there that I feel like once you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all. 🙄 Great job with the vox on this one as well! Wasn’t expecting that. Ha. I have a quick question if you don’t mind... I’m trying to decide on a poly synth and I am torn between the Hydrasynth and the Matriarch.... I use to be that “strictly analog” guy but now I’m just trying to get the most sonic possibilities in a small footprint. I currently have an MPC live, behringer model D for a mono synth, and a Stratocaster with Helix Stomp (which I at one time swore I’d never use any sort of amp modeling... lol) The technology has gotten so good though. Anyways, I’m desperately trying to decide on a Poly do I can have a portable little set up for jamming with others and live shows. Possibly interested in the Peak or Summit if you have experience with those as well. Desperate for anyone’s opinion... haha.
@JayHosking4 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! Peak will give you a great sound (that reverb!) and smallest footprint of the ones you’ve mentioned. I have never been able to make patches I love on it, though. Hydra gels with me a little more, but part of its appeal is that polyaftertouch keybed. I probably wouldn’t go for the desktop version of the Hydra. Matriarch really isn’t a poly, but it can approximate it and it’s my favourite sound of the three. So I’d say Hydra keys if you have the space and need a true poly. Outside of those you mentioned, I am in love with the Dreadbox Abyss and Black Corp. Deckard’s Dream, but the former is hard to find and the latter is pricey. Still, they sound wonderful. Best of luck!
@Chilipinoy4 жыл бұрын
Dang, this is so sick! It reminds me of Peter Gabriel’s music. I’d listen to an album of this, fer’sher.
