Why is there a white narrow frame around the paper? Do you cut it out after you are done drawing? Or leave it on? It also has the brand name written on the bottom corner which will look really odd to keep in the finished work.

Hello ! Those papers have been both designed for pastel. But on Canson Mi-Teintes touch, you can also use some wet technics such as acrylic. By the way, it's a matter of taste (even if we are the best ;-) ).
