Hi Danielle! Loved all the items you thrifted. The doll is a little bisque doll probably made in Japan. Not a frozen Charlotte nor is it a Kewpie, but still adorable. I was once a collector and now I just admire.

*The embroidered piece of linen with the scotty dog and the bluebird is a "dresser scarf" made to use on a dresser to protect the top from scratches from the "pretties" ladies put on dressers like vanity trays, perfume, brush and comb set, etc.* *I love your set of glass doorknobs; you could use your single doorknob like a stopper on the top of a glass or a crystal vase or decanter. 😉 Your black and gold lamp and the burgundy color New Testament are both lovely❣️ The tussy mussy barrette is a FABULOUS find❣️ Probably from the late 1800's or early 1900's‼️😱* *The little porcelain baby doll is a knock-off of the bisque "kewpie doll". The kewpie was originally invented by an American woman cartoonist and illustrator in 1909, Rosie O'Neill, for use in her comic strip. In 1912 the kewpie was made into bisque dolls, and they had hearts on their chest. This is how you know your bisque doll is a knock off. In 1949 Effanbee Company started manufacturing full-size Kewpie baby dolls in hard plastic. My Mom had one of those.* *The collars you found are so lacy and pretty. I loved the cherub wall pocket and it's PERFECT as you styled and displayed it on your wall. I can't wait to see how your shadow box turns out‼️😎* *The jewelry, watch, scotty dog, cameo and other pieces you're planning on making into a multi-pendant necklace will look so pretty together❣️* *The brown two-toned shoes are called "saddle shoes" and they also came in a black and white color combination and were all the rage in the 1950's, and were worn with poodle skirts and sweater sets.🥰😉❤*

Danielle, what a wonderful, gorgeous and amazing haul. Every single piece is unique and lovely. The barrette is beautiful. Looking forward to seeing how you style and display it. I thought if I was a new bride, I’d style my gown and wedding reception around this “one of a kind” piece of jewelry. Linens are also my favorite. I place them all over my house. I also use them in gifts…by wrapping the present or covering a basket or box to make it prettier.

You always find the neat stuff! I like the charm necklaces and the hair barrette must be from an earlier century. Can you imagine somebody tossing it out? I have one of the small bisque babies like you bought also. It could be over a hundred years old. I have mine sitting in my hall on a bench with my china head doll collection. They were probably "penny" toys for children back in the day.

Great haul! You are so fortunate that your mom enjoys going to the bins with you! I think the little blue and white "cameo" is possibly a Wedgewood piece. It at least has the look of one! The box that you shared at the end is a glove box. The loop on the top is to hold a glove stretcher. You'll see one in images if you google vintage glove box.

Girl I've gotten behind on all my favorite videos! I've had A super crazy past couple weeks🥴 So I'm trying to catch up! I've never been to the bins.. the closest one to where i lived in TN was an hour or more away. I've found one here where I've moved to in FL that's about 30-40 min away. So I plan to eventually make that little trip & ck it out! I've watched ladies on here find some awesome treasures! Love the painting of the house.. beautiful❤ Lol Free is always a win!😁 The Calendar with the delft print could be cut out & framed! It would make a beautiful picture, especially for someone who loves the blues & whites! The last one could actually be cut & framed. I would take the top part & tea stain it, it would look kind of primitive. I love the runner! I love anything hand stitched❤ My grandma always had those type runners on her dresser, she had so many of them!🥹 The table cloth is also beautiful. The RL pillow cover really is pretty! You should google lens the bag.. you'll find the age & value of it! Love the old glad door knobs, been looking for those & the old ceramic ones! The shiny brass planter.. just rub some antiquing wax on it & it'll look old! You can use it on most any type surface to age it.. metal, wood, cement(statues) ceramic.. really works great! Omg.. love the hanging Angel/cherub planter!! I have several different ones, i add them to gallery walls, with other pieces & just alone in a smaller space! Beautiful with greenery or florals! I just put a piece of floral foam in them to stick the stems in. Girl I absolutely love how & where you styled yours! Thanks for the idea😉 I'm sure I've mentioned that I'm a hoarder of old lamps.. love that one!!❤ I would definitely google Lens that lamp! I found an old brass on made sort of like it, with one candle & the entire piece including the shade is brass.. shade is just a little thinner. I google lensed it & its an old vintage remake of the lamps that were used in the captains quarters on the Titanic. It has A little metal label tacked on, once i cleaned it, it said something about the Titanic but can remember exactly what. We have everything in storage right now so i cant ck it🥴 But how cool right?! Love the bible..i love collecting old bibles & hymnals! The barrette is sweet!!😊 Did you use google lens on the barrette? If so & you didn't find it, it could be a one of a kind piece! Like someone had it especially made! Ohh the baby is precious..i want a frozen bisque baby so bad but they are so expensive!😞.. it looks more porcelain, like a really old kewpie. Bisque dolls are pourous & get dirt in the little pores, hard to clean. Porcelain ones aren't & are easily wiped clean. But I'm not quite sure.. lol another piece for the google Lens, you should find it there! It could be a gem! 🤷♀️ Girl you find the neatest things! I just need to make a trip & shop with you!😄 What state are your stores in!? I won't ask your town, i understand safety! The collars are so pretty! I recently found 2 really big plastic bags full of old jewelry.. some was junk, but a good bit of it was old vintage pieces & some was pretty expensive costume & a few real gold pieces. But I took the vintage pieces and made a couple little Vignettes & i love them!! I still have some pieces i haven't used yet tho..a shadow box sounds cool! I've been looking for a larger cameo, hope to find the rust color one.. but i want to put it on black velvet & put it in a frame! Would be gorgeous in a old bubble glass frame, but any antique or old frame I'll just remove the glass. Love the jewelry box & And the shoes. Wow.. such a great haul! I hope you find out some info on those pieces you weren't sure about! Always love how you style things! Now I'm going to the next video & jabber some more😄 TFS!

The small lace trimmed fabric piece would have been pinned to the head rest area of a comfy chair. Men wore oils in their hair and when they leaned back their hair soiled upholster furniture, thus the decorative and washable headrest.
@kathyaldridge71715 ай бұрын
Yes, these covers for upholstered furniture (usually HIS favorite chair) were usually made in sets of 3 to cover the back and arms of the chair. Known as antimacassars, they first became popular in the 1800s to protect the upholstery from Macassar Oil used by men as a hair styling tonic.
