I’m only a few minutes in but you nailed it with the contracts. I used to do recons and farm wins but the contracts are too slow and there’s no multiplier. This game actually pushed me towards playing multiplayer, I miss wanting to play Warzone.

There's also no elevation indicator for contracts on the map. Not to mention they're a tiny radio that you would struggle to find, especially on a multi-level building unless you ping it from the tac map.

WZ2 is unfulfilling irrespective of the outcome. Whether it was your first win or 500th in WZ1, it was always rewarding. You could even placed top 5 and have really enjoyed the match. It's all the little things added up. The journey to each POI was enjoyable. The rotations were enjoyable. Each gun had an identity and feeling to it. Sigh.

Absolutely agreed. Guns actually felt different from eachother, at least in WZ1 before coldwar, they had unique recoil, you could practice vs bots in a private match and JGOD could test bullet velocity and drop etc. I actually liked that the weapon attachments had secret benefits even if it wasn't intended. Was so fun, the good ole days of WZ.

Cold war guns was actually awesome the smgs mainly the restrictedness was still there in wz1 the cold war guns had good movement the amax and cw mp5 felt so good if they had the health change in verdansk and ranked it would of been lit people probably wouldn't of started hating verdansk so much

I made so many new friends because of WZ1, WZ2 just doesn't capture the feeling I got from playing WZ1. If they had carried the movement over and the way contracts work it would be a totally different story

I think Covid played a huge role in so many people bonding over WZ1. Everyone was basically stuck in their house with nothing to do and nowhere to go. WZ2 had no chance to match the magic of WZ1.

I think cods main issue is that there are 3 completely diff studios that try to make their own game every year. there is no baseline that gives people an idea of what to expect until the game is literally out. then they spend a year trying to listen to feedback

I think IW had a lot of great feedback from players. Literally since beta, just one update on S1 would have turn around WZ2 trash to WZ2 god tier. They decided to keep it trash to sell us the god tier update until MWIII LOL

That's what I miss is playing with friends. My friends have all moved on and are playing other games. I play randomly but mainly DMZ or Multiplayer to rank up guns. I remember in WZ1 me and my friends had tons of wins and now I don't know if I have even played WZ2 less than 10 times which is crazy. Also that's just solos and not with my friends.

Spectating anyone can be a huge pain. Probably multiple gas masks, self revives and airstrikes in those boxes. Dude could've stayed underneath and just outlasted in the gas. I know that's what I would've done in that end circle given the unlooted bunker

In Cod's defense, fortnite has been out for almost 7 years. But even so, bug fixes and changes don't come as often as they should, especially for a triple A title video game.

JGod, I feel like you’re the person to tell this to- Tell the devs to make YY the proper plate cancel. And make it come back to the weapon I had originally. I have done it so many times where it brings out my secondary. But also sometimes it works correctly. So it’s seemingly random or up to the game on which it chooses. PLEASE mention this!

I had over 2,5k hours in WZ1 and I left WZ2 very early (much later than most of my wz1 mates tho). I still don't understand why they decided to completely change what made it so special and why so many of us fall in love in WZ1: - seamless looting: you jump in, find a decent gun and push/do contracts. You loot all ammo types and plates seamlessly just by running around and opening chests. it was also easier to find ammo because people didn't have backpacks and 4x max AR ammo in it. I get that "backpack" is a popular BR mechanic buuut WZ1 was huge without it and I honestly preferred the more simple and seamless experience. It's just unnecessary complexity in the game. WZ1 was great because it was CoD but on a huge map with more hp. I just don't get why they thought a complete overhaul of the game design was needed. - consistently paced gameplay: gameplay in wz2 now cannot decide whether it wants to be slow or fast: plating up is too fast currently imo, running while plating up is pretty fast but then ads is slow and don't even get me started on that terrible ADS penalty while jumping or the lack of reload cancel. What even is that? In wz1 EVERYTHING was rather fast-paced (or at least wasn't super slow out of the blue like that ads penalty while jumping in wz2) except for some slow ass reload times on LMGs. What's more, either aim assist is stronger in wz2 or it just feels stronger because it's more difficult to break aim assist in a slower game. I feel like in wz1 moving around and shooting were fluid. In wz2 it feels like there are 2 different states you change: 1. running around pretty quickly, 2. slow-ass gunfights - gunsmith: why on earth did they have to introduce tuning? just why? Why? There's so much unnecessary complexity in this game. And why 30 different underbarrels and suppressors? Sure, give us some different options but 1. make each one unique, 2. don't overcomplicate things where it's not at all needed. And locking attachments under different guns is terrible for F2P players. It wasn't an issue for me since I (unfortunatelly) bought mw2 and leveled guns up quickly but it sucked for my mate whop just played some wz2. More doesn't mean better. In wz1 we had a couple of meta attachments which worked for most guns and honestly it was much better than a shitload of attachments and tuning on top of that. - early wz2: evenslower gamplay, ai, strongholds n shit - that shit was so wild. I still am not a fan of wz2 (especially compared to wz1) but the game surely is in a much better state than what it was closer to its launch. Whoever decided that absolutely forgetting what wz1 was about and making a completely different kind of game was going to work should have been fired at WZ2's launch. - 1-shot sniper rifles: I didn't like the distance change in wz1 where faster sniper rifgles would 1-shot only at closer ranges but it was acceptable and this solution should have always been in wz2. I'm sure there's much more but this are surely some of the more important points for me that I remember right now.

Hey Jgod! All points were spot on. My friends and I play occasionally but the game just isn't fun. Vehicles/movement/gun mechanics, Biggest thing for me was that WZ (Verdansk) was simple and felt like an endless sandbox of moments.

Coming from a super fun warzone 1 to this trash. I only played like 15 times,got 1 win and never again returned,from broken servers to broken birds eye perk etc. This video sums it up "restrictions restrictions". Im moving on if the next warzone battle royale is not good. I really think everything was build for DMZ the culprit.
