Jazz is an essential part of the American culture and legacy. I agree with you. You guys need to make this America alive again. I am not American but I am rooting for you. The real America is not about Guns, white supremacy and xenophobia. It's about jazz, blues, Edward Hopper, amazing literature, amazing artists.

@@miraposajehano4309 Well, here we go with politics. Just as "The Donald" is so imperfect and flawed in the same way the America can be said to be imperfect and flawed, they both represent the greatness of what a truly free and robust democracy can be, in much the same way that jazz presents itself in much the same way....

He's on auto bass pilot. Been there many times myself. The trick is to not get distracted by that cute little number seated off to the left with her legs crossed and the mischievous little grin on come hither lips. Otherwise, before you know it, you're playing Maiden Voyage, while the rest of the group is looking at you like you just stepped in a huge pile of a well known substance, further guaranteeing you won't win any friends nor impress any people in this set!😕

Freddie Hubbard produces such a fat sound on his trumpet. With Miles Davis and Lee Morgan, Hubbard is one of the greatest trumpeters of the bebop generation. Joe Henderson is deceptively smooth at the beginning of his solo, then at the 4:50 mark he starts to head OUT THERE. He is mighty and complex on the tenor sax. How awesome is Hancock's group. Thanks for posting the video (10 years ago!)

Probably one of the best pieces of music ever written, performed by great musicians. Freddie Hubbard just rocks it off. A great performance, great rendering of that magical song. If you can play this you can play everything, - Metal Greetings and all the best to all real music lovers from Germany.

Freddie had ridiculous chops , Hubbard could play what he thought. All Masters you’ll not hear the likes of this musicianship again in probably anyone lifetime, Joe Henderson the Sax was the extinction of year's of playing. Joe received recognition much later in his career after being one of the top all time Tenor Sax players , . No half stepping Herbie, Tony and Ron Carter the Rhythm Section alone brings joy.
