Soloing this one has proved to be a hard feat. I’ve soloed the normal one before with this set and LS, but it maximizes all of the critical skills. I should try this set since I’ve already augmented my glaive with Health Regen. Good job doing this though! Now I’m inspired to follow through in soloing him myself

And yet, Extreme Behemoth is still the hardest monster in World/Iceborne, despite Alatreon and Fatalis having more HP and firepower. Capcom should organize a ceremony and handle a medal to Canta and all the other Gods who managed to solo this and Ancient Leshen back in World.

nahh, not anymore, he melts real fast with iceborne gear solo, learn the meteor jumps, and you can consistently jump every time. The hardest part in High rank gear was getting enmity so he wouldn't spam tornadoes, but with iceborne gear and clutch claw that can be overcome really fast now. Ancient Leshen though, fucking sucks, and I don't even want to bother learning that atrocious fight.

@@Tommyvang187 Ancient Leshen is just a damage sponge at this point. You can tank everything, except his nova (which can't OS you anymore anyway) and keep hitting him until he dies. I did it with Fatalis equipment and it is just hitting the training pillar for 25 min. Behemoth on the other hand remains atrocious because of his tornados (I didn't know about clutch claw to draw the aggro) and his meteors. I don't have the jump timing right and the dps check is still hard to pass in phase 3 (Fatalis weapons and armor, while broken, don't make you as or more powerful than 4 HR endgame players, which is what the dps-check is balanced around). I have yet to kill that shit once to get Drachen layered, but I don't know if I have the will to. He is easily the worst monster of all MH games, hundred times worse than Lunastra.

@@johan9428 idk man...his health isn't that bad, maybe I'm above average player, but I get him to 50% really fast, no G-rank defense multipliers, so he takes full damage from g rank raw and sharpness. I can kill Alatreon in 15 minutes solo consistently and he has around the same amount of health as Ex behemoth, around 50k hp, but with g-rank defense multipliers. Maybe its because I have experience duoing him in high rank, I just don't think he is that bad, strict fight, but most of what makes it bad is pretty much negated by iceborne mechanics and skills. you press jump after your character does a little flinch animation while raising their hands once behemoth summons meteors, once the animation is completely done, you press jump. Do not have rocksteady mantle on, if you do, you will not see the flinch animation.

@@Tommyvang187 I soloed Alatreon (I can clear him in 15-18 min with frostfang weapons and Raging Brachydios armor) and Fatalis, but I always failed Extremoth, even with Fatalis equipment for the reason I detailed (thanks for letting me know about the jump tip). Then, I only tried him 2-3 times. I could never get the motivation to dive into it unlike Alatreon and Fatalis, because he is complete bullshit. His difficulty is totally artificial, where with Alatreon and Fatalis, you know it is your fault when you fail. I may try again if I master the jump timing, but I will always think of Behemoth as the worst thing to have happened to Monster Hunter.

If it weren't for the fact that I don't do insect glaives, this would give me hope. But with a weapon that has a lot of mechanical advantages over my main weapon, dual blades, and you cutting it as close as you were to time out despite a consistent performance, I find myself without a choice... eventually, I must somehow find a team to slay this thing.
