I love your garage idea, we were just talking about doing the same last weekend. We are in the process of buying 97 acres in Texas but we definitely need a big garge/shop for my husband to be able to work out of to pay off those acres 🤣. And bee's - yes!! I have a big garden here in California and can't wait to put in a bigger one and have bee's to pollinate the garden and our hay fields. We also have 4 horses....Cody definitely needs one, the companionship is like no other!

I built my shop and placed one end of the trusses on the container. My shop is 24' by 40 ' not included the container. If I had it to do over I would do like you said take two containers with shop in the center. You will love your shop when completed. I built mine 90 percent by myself.

A utility sink and a gas stove will make the outside kitchen a great place to can and preserve . Cover it and screen the sides or use roll up garage doors for the sides. It will also increase the water collection.

One idea for you is tiny homes in the trees for air b n b, Let me explain, A couple in GA had a 1 or 2 acre property where their own house was and they decided to use the xtra space to build these small air b n b s, They found out that the homes they put on stilts and fbuilt them within the trees were super easy to rent and they got top dollar . ... So i cant remember how many of these tiny homes are on the property but they were generating 700k plus in revenue and had paid off their original home as well as many of the tiny homes... Its a good business model, The name of the video is " this treehouse makes 700k per year'

If you guys get a horse, make sure you have goats too. Horses are herd animals and need friends. Our horses were best friends with our goats! Horses need a lot of care and attention, and their vet bills are astronomical. Find a farrier who will teach you how to trim hooves yourselves and save a ton of money. Horses are amazing and I hope you guys have a great experience becoming horse people!

Can you set up a trail camera in the chicken coop to see who is giving the eggs. After you find out you can move the trail camera to the pond and see what animals are visiting over night.

Dropping poles into the ground and then wrapping siding and a roof will be less expensive and you can make it larger than more containers. Just a thought.

Would definitely drill a well and finish the house first before buying a horse. Having a well is an investment in your health but will also greatly increase your property value. 😊

A car lift is going to require 220v service as most likely the heavier engine building machinery such as lathe, milling machine, line bore etc.

All your other animals cost less than horse per year. Vet bills can easily go over $1500/yr.Then add feed, farrier and equipment.

Orchard/Sweat bees, while they aren't honey producers they are more active and are active earlier then honey bees, and a lot easier to maintain. Also, while they don't require as much work as cattle, every inexperienced person I have known that has bought a horse has ended up giving it away.

happy birthday Cody - a bit weird wanting a horse, perhaps some Irish in you and you need to be racing round making a few bucks here and there, wheeling n dealing, or perhaps more suited to a pony, a little Shetland type would do you, either way man, yep they need some looking after, although Shetlands are quite hardy animals out in all weathers, need a lot of grass though and if you have cattle, you'll need the same and some to produce your own milk, but remember cattle and grazing, farming in general is what let to much deforestation, and i'm all for forests returning - in the south of UK we have wild ponies who forage in the forests, in Autumn sorry Fall, they have a good variety of nuts etc off the trees, although i think some might be poison for them, pigs process that stuff way better and are generally way more sociable with humans, nice bangers too
