I've "rescued" broken things in general, from stores for next to nothing and my price offer is justified when I tell them it's better than it going into a dumpster....and then I take them home and fix them, good glue is priceless. My husband gets a kick out of it and in the case of a Christmas decor piece, when I take the item out every year I say to him "do you remember when I saved this little ceramic deer with the broken legs?" and he just smiles and nods..... 😁

My mom actually prefers décor which has some type of a small flaw on it, such as chipped vases etc. I don't mind occasional flaws either but do appreciate when things are undamaged. Fixing and restoring things is also fun.

Out of all the hundred or so DIYers on KZbin, that I've watched over the past year, I have come to the conclusion you are truly the best one out there. You have the true meaning of Do It Yourself. You can take the unused and unwanted, give it a creative overhaul and presto, there's and amazing work of art. It's not all about going to the local dollar store and ripping off a decorative coating and redecorating it with another coat of different design, and adding a bow. You see beyond that and I love seeing you come up with ideas beyond the norm, without spending huge dollars. Please keep the videos coming because I can't wait to see what you come up with next. Such talent!!! I like them all. I like to take my little odds and ends add greenery and bow and make gift decorations/bows. Even for inexpensive or small gifts it really elevates them with pretty decor and bows on the present. Good way to recycle the little stuff.
