When I was a little girl my Mom would buy a brand of soap called Sweetheart Soap. It was oval in shape and had a raised design around the edges. She would take a picture from an old Christmas card and use white glue to glue it on the top of the soap and then add some more glue on top to seal the picture. Then she took gold paint and painted the raised design. Your soap project took me back to that memory of my Mom and me crafting. Thanks.

I wish we had pill bottles here in the UK well Jersey in the Channel Islands actually. They give us boxes filled with pills which you have to plan out to get access to. Roll back the pill bottle in the UK. Going home to Canada New Years 2022. Must ask the family to start collecting their pill bottles..

Excellent idea to top the soap with the ModPodge! Our neighbor made those in the 70’s but once the artwork was attached she dipped the top in melted paraffin. The result was a rather lumpy bar of soap. This is much better!

I would so appreciate any one of these gifts! Anything handmade or even partially handcrafted is so meaningful to the receiver and I think it is good for the giver. The exploding box was the most creative thing I’ve ever seen. I love the idea!! My grandsons would love that! Thank you for all of your ideas and for explaining them so well. Btw, I’ve invested in large containers of different types of decoupage medium. I remember my mom doing decoupage when I was a child. I’m 55 now and love the memories it brings back and then sharing them while teaching my granddaughter the techniques and projects I see on your channel. My daughter had some old recipes framed for me for Christmas one year. One from my mother and one from my grandmother. I absolutely love things like that!!! So thoughtful.

*Another idea for using prescription bottles is this: If you have a family member or friend in the medical profession - even a nursing assistant - you can make a special string of Christmas lights to combine with a faux pine garland or hang on the Christmas 🎄 tree. Take the lid of the empty prescription bottle and cut an X in the lid - and then push the Christmas tree light bulb💡 through the X so that it stays inside the pill bottle. The light will show through the bottle with a cozy glow - and it looks nice with both white and colored lights. You can also add strips of ribbon, or bows and even hang ornaments from the strand to make it more festive. One year my Pharmacy hung a prescription pill bottle garland at the Pharmacy with their Christmas decor - and they were handing out "Happy" (Holidays) "Pills" with a filled prescription - which consisted of a prescription bottle filled with jelly beans and the instructions on the bottle read:* *"At the first sign of "Holiday Stress", take 1 "Happy Pill" immediately and allow it to slowly dissolve in your mouth. Repeat every 4 hours, or more frequently, as needed, to maintain Holiday Enjoyment."* *Something I did for my Daughter when she was in college as part of her Christmas gift 🎁🎄👱‍♀️ was fill a couple of prescription bottles with quarters for her to use doing her laundry, instructing her to call 📞 her Pharmacy (me) for refills, LOL‼️🤣 I would decorate the tops of the bottles with Christmas greenery, a loop of ribbon to tie on to a package with a bow, 🎀 and the prescription instructions read: "Call Mom 👱‍♀️ for a refill at least 7 days in advance." Hahaha. 😃* *I hope you like these ideas, Sherry❣💜*

I absolutely love this video! The craft paper mitten for gifting odd shaped gifts, or socks is so cute! It would be fun for those that have little ones in the house to color or do little hand prints all over! This would also be fun for gifting dog or cat gifts! My boxer LOVES when he can “open” his gifts on his own! (Of course with supervision). Anyway, as always you came up with great ideas to use things we already have around the house! And I agree… making the wrapping personal to the recipient is such a special touch that they will remember as much as the actual gift!

No wonder you are so admired by your abundant followers. Three Cheers to our champion! Yes, I do get inspired to try many of your ideas, but alas, I work long hours so time is at a premium. I suspect many of us who watch you work so hard, would love to recreate your ideas, but struggle with time and having the right supplies on hand. I wish I could stop to shop at thrifts shops, and dollar stores, but time-time-time is my enemy. If only I could get by with only 4 hours of sleep each night.... Or better yet, retire ~ sigh....

You can make these, Pamela-they were all easy. The most difficult project was applying the white birch tree vinyl to the cheap (unsealed) Walmart chalk paint!

These were great. You always take your items to the next level. I do something similar with coffee cans but instead of paint, I just wrap them in Christmas wrapping paper. I put homemade cookies in a ziploc and store inside. Makes a fun holiday gift.

So many great ideas. Thank you! I am excited about the soap. I thrifted a ceramic bowl with a working windmill in the delft style of print. The tag on the bottom indicates it once was for crocus bulbs. I think it's perfect for guest soaps. I will decoupage bulb flowers on soap for the spring! You are awesome! I also have a friend who loves that scene from the Christmas vacation movie, I may surprise her 🤣

*Sherry, the exploding boxes are great for making into a "photo gallery" using multiple pictures from a special occasion like a birthday party, a wedding, a graduation, etc. My Sister made one for me, but she is a scrapbooker and wanted to include LOTS of photos, so she used the largest box for the photos, but she layered the photos, "staggered", so that there were 6 laminated photos with about a half and inch of each photo showing with the next photo on top - like fanned playing cards - or the way a flight of stairs looks, straight-on. You know; like a photo album? I hope this makes sense and you understand what I am trying to describe. 🙏🤔😬 Therefore, she had 24 photos (6 per flap) on the 4 sides of the largest box that you could "flip up" the 1st photo on the top to see the next photo below it, and so on. Then for the 4 flaps of the other box panels she included images of other things I like in nature - like hummingbirds, flowers, bluebirds, butterflies, moths, dragonflies, sunsets, etc. - and she even used some 3-D butterfly, 🦋 bird and flower stickers that she bought❣💜 It turned out so lovely❣*
