I see multiple videos like this. Its generates uneasiness for me. House gates a.k.a. driveway gates MUST have two doors, left and right. You should have designs - your chosing - where you can see through the gates. SECURITY at all times. Then you can add automation IN ADDITION TO manual operations. One further item. When insidious criminal practices are universal, don't make it easy for them.

I have several installs of this nature that are years old and doing fine, even in salt conditions. Not sure why you feel that way.
