Canton DM 55 bootloop...2nd one!!

This is the second canton DM 55 I've had stuck in a bootloop so have decided to show this video to steer folk off this...it's not reliable...lots of other folk having same fault needs a RECALL by canton to sort software out...it's a very impressive sound bar...but useless if you can't HEAR it!... come on canton sort this know fault out...

I've just bought a pair of English Q Acoustics BT3 Wireless active hi-fi speakers...WOW...Blown away really really do sound great... Bluetooth aptx optical from TV... controlled via either sky remote or supplied remote...connects to Bluetooth instantly unlike the canton ...highly recommend these speakers!

I'm just about to get my 3rd dm55 for exactly the same fault! Only replacing it because of the warranty otherwise it get some different branded one. Great when working but terrible reliability

my sound base is the same model and has exactly the same problem! just contacted Canton to enquire about a replacement/repair. Would be interested to hear how easy you found it to get repaired

please don't buy a soundbar in any shape or form you will not get stereo separation because the speakers are in one box.... I've just upgraded my Q Acoustics speakers to concept 20's....blew me away the sound....and put my excellent sounding active QAcoustics in my bedroom... if you dont mind having two speakers either side of TV ....only way to get stereo separation!!

Did they ever resolve this problem? I've just bought one, the salesman told me nothing about this, it seems a year ago it was very common?

I was looking at purchasing one of these canton dm55, lucky i saw your video and got a heads up. What similar priced unit would you recommend? I was looking at the bose solo 15 series 2.

Ive already got a q acoustics setup in my main lounge with a Denon amp. So this would be for my bedroom. Q acoustics make very good speakers.

What exactly is a boot loop ? I've just bought a DM 76 one of the latest models, based on excellent reviews.

Hi there GT TA, A bootloop is when the device turns off and on again and won't stop unless you disconnect from the mains, Just like to add this was on an old model and using an old android phone with earlier Bluetooth connectivity I would like to think using the latest Bluetooth you should be fine.

I took it back to the retailer where I bought it and got a full refund. I bought a pair of brilliant Q acoustics speakers instead

I bought some Q Acoustics bt3 hi-fi bookshelf Bluetooth speakers absolutely blew me away highly recommend these compared to the Canton sound bar.....there Awesome!
