You're right Amanda it's not very easy to understand the first time you hear the dialogues , but you did an amazing job of breaking everything down!. We learned so many useful expressions! Thanks again!

This lesson is very useful for me and probably the people who are learning Cantonese by watching TVB dramas. I’d appreciate more lessons in this nature. Thank you, Amanda.

Please do more of these Amanda! I’m trying to learn Cantonese and initially the dialogues were very fast and hard to follow, and I could only understand by reading the Mandarin subtitles (I can speak Mandarin), but when you broke it down one by one it was so much clearer. Even from such a short clip I feel like I have learnt a lot, please make more!😊

Listening to a dialogue is definitely a good way to learn a language.You should be in those videos Amanda. I know I know too many copyrights,permitions and what have you. i still have many Cantonese videos,the ones that I used to buy in NY,S Chinatown.Unfortunately all those stores have closed down. I have also been learning from the book " Teach yourself Cantonese book".Keep up the good work Amanda.

Want to add that my Cantonese teacher in NY, has just started some teaching on KZbin I think or Facebook .I mentioned her before.A great teacher who believes a lot in the Cantonese language. She also talks about the building of the tran-continental railroad in the U.S.A Last comment have you heard of Mexicali ,Mexico? It is right at the border of Mexico and the U.S.A. There is a town of Chinese ,who settled there.

What does hou2 add to the phrase zou6 hou2 zo2, ‘ has been done’, why not just zou6 zo2. Thx
@5minutecantonese2 жыл бұрын
Literally it means "done well"... We could even say that without zo2. So, "zou6 zo2" "zou6 hou2" and "zou6 hou2 zo2" They are all the same.
