Thank you for your comment. I would combine this with a gel, this is always going to be Cantu Define and Shine Custard. These work really well together. I like to use this combination in the summer.

How's the flaking? Do you put oil before/after or both? Hows this compared to the custard?

Thank you for your comment! I found I would only get flaking with this product if I used too much. It took me a few tries when I first used the product 4 years ago and I have worked on the right amount for my natural curly hair. I actually have not used oil on my natural hair for a while and have noticed it has benefited my natural hair. I use the Cantu Coconut Curling Cream alongside the Cantu Define and Shine Custard and noticed it gave me amazing results. The Cantu Coconut Curling Cream does give me more moisture compared to the custard, however the Cantu Define and Shine Custard, gives my curls and coils that definition and hold it needs 💖😄
