Best of luck on your book. I think a good rule of thumb on book design is likely working in reverse...figuring out what your final product will be and what print/publication service you will use because this will be important in understanding the specific sizing and print specifications they require. Canva can certainly work for simpler print layout jobs like a children's book, but for more complex print products-where precise control over typography, layout, color management, and file output is essential-more specialized design software is (Adobe InDesign, Affinity Publisher, etc.) often better suited. cheers, Greg
