I have a stoic 2 as well and am loving it. I have two questions though, what pressure are you running in for for in relation to your weight and do you find the fork running slow in mild cold? thanks
@t0mj4y3 жыл бұрын
On the tyres I'm running between 30-35 psi. I have no idea what the fork pressure is, I don't have a fork pump. I haven't had any problems with it in cold weather, but I haven't messed around with it much either. If I get a fork pump, I'll make sure to put an update in my next video!

@@markmark2961 hey! Fitting the seatpost wasn't too tricky in my experience. I had to take the bottom bracket off so I could fit the cables through, but other than that it was ok. In terms of the saddle height, I have the seatpost fully extended with about 30 mm of spare room on the outer seatpost before it reaches its maximum insertion in the downtube. I have a fairly average leg length I guess. Sorry I can't be of more help!

Yeah, in cold weather the fork used to get stuck. I took it for a service and they greased it up a bit and it was immediately loads better. The gearing is ok for me. You could invest in slightly wider cassette if you need a gear for climbing really steep hills.

Canyon Stoic vs a san Quentin 3? For a trail bike and doing some commutimg/exploring up on it ar times around town
@t0mj4y2 ай бұрын
@@ShouldaWaved I just had a look at the San Quentin 3. It looks like it has a better drivetrain and fork as well as a dropper post as standard so that sways me more in the Marin's favour, but it's a 27.5 rather than a 29 like the Stoic. For me it wasn't an option because I didn't have the money and I knew I could save up for a dropper post. I think it seems like your chain is not routed correctly through the derailleur. It should make some noise. I upgraded the cassette to a 11-46 pretty quick and it made a big difference. It worked fine with the Deore derailleur even though Shimano says it doesn't. I just recently upgraded to 11 speed 11-52 and that was a great upgrade as well, but for pretty much more money.
@t0mj4y3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the info. Any ideas where the problem is with the derailleur routing? I can't see the problem. Did you have to change the freehub or wheel to convert to 11 speed?
@wernell3 жыл бұрын
@@t0mj4y It looks like the chain is on the wrong side of the small piece of metal between the two pulleys. The chain is supposed to go in a straight line, on the other side of that small piece of metal. 11 speed works fine with the same freehub. If you want 12 speed you might have to change the freehub.
