That is a nice bike. I have the 2024 Canyon Torque on E in the CF 8 build. I got mine for $4800 for Black Friday sale no tax and free shipping to Nevada. I love mine as it comes stock with a 720 battery and can take a 900 watt hour battery too. I feel like mine was a pretty good deal. I have the X2 Shock and the 38 in the performance level and I cannot tell the difference between that and the Factory suspension. I run factory suspension on all my bikes usually and the grip damper feels really good. I love the EP8 motor and the SLX build works well and feels great. The brakes are so powerful. Mine has the DT Swiss 1700 wheels with the ratchet too. I upgraded my fork with a spring tech coil from Gravity Bikes in Fullerton and it was only $210 bucks and it is better than a $500 coil conversion you would normally get. Keep up the good work man. I agree with you that this bike is not a great value. I think the Torque E is so much better 💯🔥🙏🤘

My strive underdog arrived last week. It’s an amazing bike, hugely capable and is a monster downhill. The brakes and dropper are shite and need upgrading. The geometry and suspension are excellent imo

I rode the strive on during sea otter and it was actually great bike. Reach wasn’t as bad as I thought! I had some fun on it!

I was told in the past, you can't change from rhythm to grip 2 damper, maybe they changed that? You might have to change the whole fork.

Through a bit of research some have done it some have said the internal diameter is thicker on the Rhythm. If not.. than i would really consider the DVO ONYX SC or the ONYX 38 as an alternative to fox or rockshox

I looked up Ari eMTBs and their Enduro eMTB starts at $6199. It does come with an XT drivetrain and DVO suspension but you also get a Shimano motor. If I wanted Shimano, I'd go buy a Polygon N8e which also gets a full XT group set and Fox Performance Elite suspension for $4399. But if you want that Bosch, you might just have to suck it up or wait for a sale on the Canyon. The frame R&D is probably to blame for the high-ish pricing. A lot of people are loving the kinematics which has to be worth something. As far as their sizing goes, most people are sizing down based on the reach number. My Polygon T7 XL has a 500mm reach which is perfect for me so I'd go with a large on the Strive:On.

Polygon N8e is such a good price point at $4399. And yes if you can wait just a tad longer there will likely be a sale at end of the year.

@@blazelong3803 to be honest, I actually don't mind the Shimano motor. I've rented a bike that had the old EP8 and had a fantastic 2 days of riding around Bentonville (including Drop the Hammer 🤘). And with the EP801 having 20% more top end power, I'm sure it's even better. But I do wish there were more affordable bikes using Bosch. I haven't ridden one yet but I'm excited to try it since I keep hearing how much better it is.

Strive:On is a EWS-E winning bike with Fabien Barel as the rider. You are paying for the race winning frame basically. Also, you can spec the bike with 750 w/hr battery as an option.

I test rode it at Sea otter and it was really fun bike to ride.. very responsive! I am planning on doing a follow up video for it at our local trails here in SoCal.

Bosch motor in my opinion is better in terms of power and overall feel. The motor is irreplaceable. fork and brakes can be upgraded fairly easily

@@frankiesemtb update the fork its 1500€ + 200€ of battery + 400€ brake, another 500 or more for the rear shok, then the bike goes up to a high end bike no sense only for the motor, i saw some videos and the shimano is more soft and look like real feel but in some climbing parts have less power but and have updated the firmware a few days ago in collaboration with the Yeti / Shimano EP Racing Team and tested by Orbea's Enduro Rotwild Schwalbe and OOLab teams for racing

Don't know who you are spank. But that is a strange way of saying it. You have to remember that there are some people in the world who just ride bikes as a hobby, and others who race professionally. The Underdog model is actually a really, really good bike for the person who just needs a bike that can do what it can. Cycle up and down and fly away in hobby mode... If you want to step up, you must have the green model, I have it, and it is just fantastic... You must set it up for people who are beginners and people who are professionals.... Must say hello and say I paid USD 6200 for the green CFR. XT gears, XT brakes. It just runs super well.! I'm an average man on the tracks... Canyon ALL the way!!!

Spank Industries is a High quality Aluminum Component brand, they sell handlebars, wheels, grips pedal etc.. I agree the better option for this bike is the CFR model which has a better price point and components.
