Frankieeee! I sold the Pivot Shuttle LT and just got a 2023 Timp Peak. I knew I could rely on your channel to provide great content and feedback on all things eMTB. I've only taken it on one ride and had some pretty bad rattling going on in the battery area. Took it apart and tightened up a few things. Battery is nice and snug now. Hoping that fixes the problem and looking forward to a proper ride on the Timp Peak 🤙

Congrats mark! i rode the Ep801 version at sea otter and it was a very fun bike to ride! one of my favorites i test rode. The support team at ARi are top Notch! I'm sure they'll find a solution for the rattling

Bosch motor in my opinion is better in terms of power and overall feel. The motor is irreplaceable. fork and brakes can be upgraded fairly easily

@@frankiesemtb update the fork its 1500€ + 200€ of battery + 400€ brake, another 500 or more for the rear shok, then the bike goes up to a high end bike no sense only for the motor, i saw some videos and the shimano is more soft and look like real feel but in some climbing parts have less power but and have updated the firmware a few days ago in collaboration with the Yeti / Shimano EP Racing Team and tested by Orbea's Enduro Rotwild Schwalbe and OOLab teams for racing

This bike is amazing! Only complaint would be the brakes lack power for this bike. I have used both Code Rs and Code RSCs. Code RSCs are more powerful, but Code Rs are good for most types of riders and bikes. As for the Fork, I like Marzocchi Z1 just as much as my Rockshox Zeb Ultimate. This fork does not need to be upgraded, unless you are a person who enjoys messing around with multiple settings. As for the shock, I did replace it with a Marzocchi CR1. Again, I love this “budget” shock just as much as my Rockshox Super Deluxe Coil. I have a carbon Transition Sentinel V2 carbon and love it, but also realized carbon is over rated and aluminum frames are great. The Relay corners amazing and once I got used to the extra weight, I found it more confidence expiring on jumps! I have ridden everything from cross country to double black diamond trails and this bike handles it all with ease. You can’t go wrong with this bike unless you want a full power eMTB.

It’s tough to pin point a best since these bikes are all a bit different in nature.. but enduro + poppy I would go with either Decoy or the ARI Timp peak

I'd get a YT Decoy Core 5 at $6300, 750 battery, Factory suspension and nothing to upgrade. Got to demo one and loved it. Core 4 at $5600 looks darn good too.

I bought a New Rail 7 Gen 2 a few months ago for $3999.99 + Tax. I'm coming off a Hardtail XC bike. Wow what a difference. The only part I didn't like was Treks Programing on the Bosch Gen 4 motor, I took it back to the dealer and had it reprogrammed. Now it out preforms my Bosch Gen 2 Hardtail. FYI, Trek uses a Touring plus, & EMTB lite mode to save battery life and you don't get the full performance out of it. When I got mine I could tell Zero difference between Eco, Touring Plus, & the EMTB Lite mode. Now that is reprogrammed to Eco, Standard Touring, & Standard EMTB mode it's way more powerful. That's the reason I bought a E-bike was for climbing hill's. What's the sense of having a EMTB if you are wore out once you get to the top of the hill.

The spectral on is definitely lighter than the Meta SX.. I lean more towards bosch than Shimano at them moment.

I assume you went 160mm fork on both upgrades? The Onyx only comes in 160+ so that's a given. With the shock, did you go 185x55 for a little more travel in the back too or stick with the 185x52.5 for 140mm travel? Just hit go on the exact bike and excited to get modding.

What stand are you using? I was having a hard time finding one for the 2.6" wheel that didn't seem to be a really crazy price. Is that one made for a 2.4" or less and you are just making it work? Thanks for the review. Loving my new Levo as well.

Can someone tell me if ebike manufacturers provide batteries once they die , or in general can you rebuild them ? I don't want to spend $5000 - $7000 and only use the bike for 3-4 years 😕

Yes there are batteries you can buy No need to rebuild. Usually they are paired with the motor

@@adrianTNT there are a few instances where bike brands do develop their own battery so I would check with the brand. But most brands do sell replacement batteries. Batteries are often developed by motor companies together with the motor and brands are giving schematics to develop the battery and motor to fit in frame. I would suggest buying from reputable and bigger brands because they use top notch systems like Bosch. Which often have readily available spare batteries for sale. I would stay away from unbranded Chinese brands since you’ll have a lot of issues trying to find customer service.

Just a cube stereo it's an amazing bike took cubes genius alloy rear and carbon front triangle stop it flexing so much it's a perfect set up cube put the 170 160 fox on there's bit same bike really and the trek same loving this alloy rear end though has to be said

If you think the Gen3 levo is quiet you should experience the 2018 brose 1.3 aluminium motor .Absolutely the Quietest, smoothest most natural feeling power delivery ever. Simply get one rebuilt and upgraded by ebike motor centre including Quad ring crank seals, add 170mmFox factory forks,buy a extra 500wh battery and run it as a mullet with a Rohloff hub and you will have a great bike without blowing a fortune on a new one that is not as pleasant to ride. @@frankiesemtb Brose 1.3 2018 is a 90Nm motor exactly the same internals as latest motors but the Aluminium casing is much thicker and stiffer than the newer magnesium motors and a hell of a lot quieter ..even smoother and quieter than my TrekEXe. It also has the refined 7.11 firmware that has not been fiddled with to stop the newer ones stripping belts and gives a more natural feeling. Silence is golden . "It's you but younger and faster".Also I am fitting a 9point8 Slacker 1.6 ⁰ steerer tube insert to achieve a 63⁰ head angle and increase wheel base .170mm forks and 29in front wheel also helps lift ,Slacken and lengthening the 2018 carbon frame E=Mtb²

Performance of nx is not noticed with the drive system if properly tuned. Not like a regular bike where you get such massive improvement. Durability is questionable maybe. Weight doesnt matter things a tank 😂 wear it out swap it when you find a sale.

Bearing washers? The don't cover bearing and it dries out in 4 months if you ride in summer and rusted in 2 month if you ride in wet...

Appreciate this video! I currently have a class 3 (Bulls Iconic TR1 Speed) that is full suspension and I CAN and do take on trails but also have the benefit of riding on roads at 28mph. It's not ideal for true mountain biking but I make it work. I've been wanting to add another true mountain bike for trail riding but want to stay at or around the $3,500 mark so this was very helpful. I'll look into your top 3 more. I saw the YT in person in San Clemente at their showroom but my concern is the Shimano motor (which you've talked about in other videos) and on a personal level, I want big battery so I can do more, including Catalina Island, Palm Canyon Epic, etc. which brings me back to the Bulls Copperhead AM3 with the Bosch motor and 750wh battery. Genuinely curious why you didn't have this (AM 1 -3) in your top 3 when considering Bosch and the larger battery. No judgement, I'd just like to know your thought process and what if anything its lacking from your perspective.

I've had the same bike for over a year and I haven't had any problems so far. I broke the hub on the rear wheel and Specialized didn't have it in stock. The bike shop gave me a credit for a new wheel. In general, I am very happy with my Stumpjumper.

They are so very close. Bosch has a bigger initial kick. But the brose feels a bit more natural

Just got 2023 levo comp alloy. Modern e-bikes are amazing. I can live with both Fox shocks after coming off of a 32 QR on 26”. Did upgrade the damper and damper adjustment knob on the Float X. Great deal at Upway and the Mastermind tcu takes me back to my Cateye cadence days! Cadence seems like a key to motor performance and battery life.

Love the channel. I sold my ripley and bought the comp carbon version paid 6700. No aluminums in stock unfortunately. I love the bike. So far Hayes dominion A4 (I’m 230 so needed it), fox 38 on the front, carbon bars, cascade link, and probably rockshok vivid on the back. I think I’m pushing the weight limit for coil but would love coil. Absolutely love the bike…….i don’t know how you couldn’t it’s so comfortable in any situation.

Cascade link long travel with rockshok vivid coil 650lb spring (20% off on coil) is what I ended up. That bike literally rides better than my tundra. You weren’t kidding on how much of an effect changing out that rear shock would have for a 230lb guy! I’m literally blown away!

The specs on the Comp isn't the best and i'm being honest! but 3 essentials of the levo, the amount of adjustability in Geometry, motor and battery. these 3 are irreplaceable and top notch.

I have a comp Alloy S3 and a comp carbon S2. I actually prefer the ride of the S3 alloy better than the S2 carbon. I'm 5'9 for reference. I have had 1 motor failure on the S2 and it was replaced under warranty. Other than that, no issues other than normal drivetrain stuff.

I have the same bike, and I don't recommend it. The components are too basic, motor and the TCU fail. I will go for Marin, giant or cube next time.

I put a rockshox ultimate coil with hydraulic bottom out and im bot going back to air again. If you dont have hydraulic bottom and ride really hard i would stay with air becuase the suspension is alittle to linear
