Taking some beginners and young kids through Keyhole canyon in Zion National Park. The entire route is about 0.67 miles roundtrip! It's not long indeed, but makes it a great way to introduce others to the sport of Canyoneering. These two kids loved it! Bring adults who can assist younger kids if you decide to go through. The tallest rappel is just around 30 feet. The canyons does contain water year-round so it's best advice to bring a wetsuit, except for in the hottest of months (but for kids, I would bring them anyway).
Enjoy!

You guys have a fun family dynamic. Did keyhole myself last year. Fun to relive it through your video.

Thanks for the kind comment! I tried to capture it through their eyes. Glad you were able to experience KeyHole too. Keyhole was my 2nd slot-canyon adventure, with the Subway being the first. It packs a lot of punch in such a small area.

Yup, it was either September or October of 2020. It was a dry dry year for southern Utah. Over 100+ days of no rain.

Where did you rent wetsuits and gear from?

I bought most of my gear from Backcountry.com, REI, and Imlay Canyon Gear (especially the ropes from ICG). Wetsuits are about $100 and are worth the investment in my humble opinion, otherwise you can rent them from local outfitters near Springdale such as Zion Adventure Company or Zion Guru (and a handful more), or you can rent them from the outdoor rec department like the University of Utah or Weber State University for something like $8 or $10/day. Hope that helps!
