I was like you about the octopus but I watched My Octupus Teacher and it totally changed my outlook on them. I think the type you saw was similar to the one in the documentary and it is quite rare to see them during the day as they are nocturnal. Looked like a good day for your lovely family!

Aww what a lovely vlog Fern and you looked so beautiful again. What a treat to see the sunshine and 27deg! I have the fire on here in good old north of UK! The wind is so chilly. I miss the hot sunshine, had to cancel last year's holiday to Spain and now again this year, I just wish all this covid was over and we can all get back to some kind of normal. My wife and I bought a flat in the Liberation quarter, of Nice 14 years ago, and your vlog evokes many memories of the fun times we had exploring our new environment. What a great day out, Fern! As I told you, we used to stay twice per year, two weeks each time, to Juan Les Pins, when my son was younger! His favourite place was the Carousel in Juan Les Pins!
