Rxc7 is a much simpler way to win. h7 inmediatly allows Rxc1 and after H8=Q something like Rc3 when Qd8+ is answered by Bc7. It may still be winning for black but the other line is way, way better, and more straight-forward

Hardly a deadly trap. After taking the knight, black's impending doom could come on either side of the board. He would either lose due to insufficient king safety, or from white's passed pawns. Black gave up way too much for a tiny one pawn lead on that exchange.

A rook endgame 2 pawns up is decisive enough for me. After Bxc7 Rc6! puts black in zugzwang. So black plays Rh8 Rxc7 Rxh6 Rxf7 or even Rc6 trapping black's king, white should be winning easily in both cases

Just in case, Capa had a 15 moves preparation, I wonder if he ever got to use it. Marshall did it, with a disastrous result. Sometimes I take the pound just for the thrill of it. Most time than not ends up pretty bad.

According to online "expert" parrots, Capablanca knew no opening theory. I actually think he did know a fair bit of opening theory. How did he get to so many middle and end games? Just plain luck?
