I have 3 of those same devices. My 4th device is the Peak ESR70, which I use the most.

After using some of the cheaper equipment a while you get used its readings. And can get a feel for what is a good reading and a bad reading.

There are so many different ESR charts however all with different ESR recommendations. ESR is only good to know if you look-up the datasheet for that capacitor OR it is way way off so it is obvious. Any other characteristics such as leakage that may be better signs of bad capacitor?

Peak do a dedicated ESR meter, not just the LCR function.

Yes they do. I unfortunately do not own that one. "Yet".

measurements are also dependent on the frequency the test equipment uses.

You should have also tested which one performs better with in circuit measurements.

I have never found it worth doing in circuit measurements when testing components. There is always a chance that another component or many components in the circuit is influencing the measurement. It will always have you second guessing. Best to remove and guarentee the best measurement and 100 percent accuracy.

@@The_Active_Region I agree but it could have been useful to know it from a proper test. Whenever you have a chance I'll appreciate it. Thanks anyway for taking your time to reply.. Cheers

Does anyone know at which Frequency is Inductance tested with this unit? thank you so much
