6:42 Such a nice gameplay touch of Linn picking up then throwing the spear to the predator then picking up her sword. Love watching you two piece together this games combat system and how it is character specific. Do solo runs with a "main", it is incredible.

My personal fave beat em' up of all time. I have it in a cab in the game room and it still brings me a lot of joy just seeing it. The 90s-ness is off the charts.

Imagine a new Marvel vs Capcom gets announced and in the reveal trailer, the first character to be teased at the end is Lynn. I don't know what I would do Also the sound of mashing arcade sticks' buttons takes me back HARD

Aliens Vs Predator I think was one of the earliest games that i felt took elements of 1v1 fighting games and put them into a beat em up.....which is something i wish could be done more

Lynn Kurosawa was color swapped and appeared as "Simone" in Cannon Spike for Dreamcast.

@@tjreardon8495it’s a game as well. Run and gun shoot em up. It has Cammy, Charlie Nash, B.B hood, Arthur from Ghost N Goblins and Shiba Shintaro based off siva from three wonders, Simone who is modeled after Lynn. Also it has an alternate version of Vega from Street Fighter where he looks sickly and ugly as a boss to face.

I remember this game so well now that I’m seeing it again. Just unlocked all the memories. It was such a fun play during the height of arcades. Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, TMNT, X-Men all similar but so damn fun

This needs to be remastered and released on modern consoles, guys. ALIEN VS. PREDATOR is one of the last outliers left that needs to be brought back. As soon as possible.

Two thoughts 1) HOLY CRAP!! I forgot this game takes place in the continental UNITED STATES!! This is basically the beginning of the end of humanity on Earth. The Apocalypse is just starting. 2) Matt Mcmuscles is right Lynn Kurosawa in a Capcom vs Marvel game would be PERFECT!

This was my favorite beat'em ups. I always went to this when I went to Diversions in San Antonio, Texas. My brother would help me when he was done playing Street Fighter. I miss arcades that are not big brand names 😢.

But if it's owned by Fox (which is now owned by Disney), and Marvel (which is now owned by Disney), wouldn't that basically solve the rights issue?

Its called a Capcom Home Arcade that i would love to have. It keeps getting sold out in the official Capcom website and most other sites i dont trust. I just want them to port it to consoles because most of us own one.

And I remember some of the press for the actual movie that was supposed to come out back then including a few pictures of what it was going to “look like”. I remember a predator photo in particular. Then it just got swept under the rug

Collecting arcade hardware is expensive but not that bad for the amount of supply that exists. I bought a Project Justice Naomi cart for less than the game goes complete on Dreamcast. I love the content but I also fear more KZbinrs will get into the hobby and make the prices explode

So how was Warner Brothers able to get the rights for MKX to put both Predator and Aliens in MKX? Was that only Fox at that time? If Lynn is owned and created by capcom what kind of license issues would there be for her to be in CVS2?

This and Ring of Destruction would be *my* 2 big games to come to a collection. Mahvel fans got MvC2, CvS fans got CvS2, and I want my 2 games dammit! Also, even looking past the huge drama surrounding the use of FBAlpha and the resulting FBNeo fork that came out of it, the Capcom Arcade stick thing is still a pretty bleh way to play AvP. I'm still glad I ignored it when it was first announced, cuz *any* emulation and/or MiSTer arcade cabinet will run circles around that thing.

It's a crime that this never got an official port. If Capcom can make miracles with MvC, then hopefully AvP gets a chance.

Definitely get it, the team behind the “capcom logo arcade stick” ot capcom home arcade made it to so it can be used as a regular arcade stick for pc.

Samus in every 2D Metroid doesn't mirror either. 1st time I've ever seen that technique was in 1986/87 with Metroid.

Love this game. Took my capcom home arcade and removed the pcb and put it in my mame cab which I turned into a avp cab 🤭

Rose has a Ruby Heart costume in SF5. Capcom managed to do that, and she's an original character from Marvel vs. Capcom 2. Surely they could've done the same for Linn. A costume for Ibuki. What prevented them to do that? In the end, they only went with an alternative color scheme for Akira. And that's cool. But still.. By the way, and just curious, is there a Linn Kurosawa mod for UMvC3? That'd be cool.
