@@Asterra2 Guess being put into losers early meaning one’s choice is limited. iDom really put up some good fights today. It is incredible that he crawled his way back to loser’s final after so many tough sets and most of them are 3-0. He can’t make into GF but still afterall I am really satisfied like all the top 4 players of my heart made it through to the end somehow, like without having anyone being eliminated early and they all pulled out some impressive matches.

And it's like Brian_F noted right after the groups format was decided: Hopefully Capcom will have a better system next time so we won't have the many, many dubious scenarios that IX's system engendered. iDom's fate for example was basically decided by a single FT2, like this was some scrub tournament instead of Capcom Cup. And groups shouldn't have eliminated two thirds of players, since they were inherently prone to being extremely imbalanced.

This capcom cup had bizarre rules causing very limited representation for some of the best regions like Japan. Japan could easily have 5-8 reps at capcom cup. Game's dead and this capcom cup is it's dying breath. Players like Punk and Kawano not showing up shows most are already with their head at SF6. It's a shame

I really love how diversified was this Capcom Cup in terms of players. Yes people would love to see half of players being from Japan but also every region should show what they are capable of and more with how the draw and seeding was done. Really liked it. I'm thinking of actually getting good again, lol. I haven't played fighting games seriously since early 2k's, but when I did play sf4 series casually, I actually managed to hold my own against some really good EU players who played the game competitively. Considering I was only playing casually and still managed to snatch 2 to 3 wins out of 10 vs tournament players that have finished in 1st place and top 8 it did make me consider picking it up competitively again. That being said, sf4 and even more with sf5, I didn't enjoy the games like I used to. Sf6 actually seems fun, do it's definitely worth getting into competitively. Add the 1 mil and the game actually having good online. Yeah, definitely worth getting into. I just hope the input delay isn't ass on the ps, don't haveva pc.

Back during the best times of sf, you would see several unique skills of the characters and unique decisions that no one in the room was prepared for. Not even the commentators. That's when sf was amazing. These days all they do is pick the most overpowered characters on the tier list and run through a repetitive set of unblockable gimmicks until the tournament ends.

Yeah Idom played those last two matches kinda sloppy. Tried challenging EX Headstomp with Laura like she's Luke. Kept whiffing command grab in neutral. Didn't seem to pick up on Zhen's st.HP max range which guard crushed him a lot. Didn't contest in the air enough. Considering Zhen rinsed through pretty much all the Japanese LCQ players he faced, and also Angry Bird & others in Top 16, it's maybe not too surprising. But Mena was the ultimate roadblock in the end.

This Luke hate bandwagon is silly. 1 Luke in the top 16 of the LCQ-Tokido-And he lost. You now see as many Codys, Bison, Urien, Kens, Sims and Juris. A lot of the top players now have a lot of knowledge and tech with regards to the Luke matchup, especially in Japan.
