Capcom is like a really good friend who's been battling a drug addiction for years. When they're sober and doing well, they're the greatest friend you'll ever have, and you're happy to see them in a good place, but when they hit rock bottom once more, you still love them, but you're just like "come on, man. I too had a fun time playing Dragon’s Dogma 2, my only problem aside from the no New Game option (although a patch will fix that) is the difficulty spike once I reached Battahl. All of a suddenly, Goblins, Bandits, Saurians, Zombies, Harpies and even Griffins started chipping my health in thirds and my pawns keep on dying so I had to run all the way to the capital, use the Rift Stone to resurrect my Main Pawn and summon new pawns. About the whole Micro Transaction problem. I only used it just to gift the Port Crystal and soundtrack of the First Game. The Wake Stones, Ferry Stones and Rift Crystals were all handed to me once I completed quests which most are easy and some (especially in Battahl) are hard.

Capcom has been doin' this since RE7, but most gamers are hypocrit morons, those games were praised as the best in their genres and suddently people are mad for Dragon's Dogma, even if the mtx ain't in the game menus, If you never go to the store and look for the game, you don't even notice them. Currently Capcom with Square are my favorite companies, Capcom with the RE games, DMC and Street fighters. Square with the 2.5HD jRPGs and with FF Remake and Rebirth.

If anything, I berate companies like Capcom and Square-enix for making mediocre clones of their games at times. Or simply not being able to stop themselves from making the same game over and over again. In Capcom's case, their tendency for abandoning IPs. They have dormant games like Dino Crisis, Breath of Fire, Onimusha etc. Games that could get a revival that have their own essence and could somewhat fit in the current gaming industry. And, surprisingly, there are many fans out there waiting for those games to make a comeback. Hopefully one that, Capcom will listen.

The only flaw I can really thing of in dd2 is the pacing of enemy variety. They give you like 10-15 for 90% of the game then the last hour they shove like 5 more in back to back fighting each only once and there all as complex and interesting as the normal big monsters.

Game brought LPDSHD back, and it's fun to watch the surprise events. Ran into the log cabin after running away from the first ogre. Ogre chases him to it, and the grandma living in the cabin immediately kicks it's butt in 15 seconds. Also on the MTX, I can picture upper management coming to tell them they need to add micro transactions, and the developers chuckling making them as useless and unobtrusive as possible.

I did the Red Orbs glitch that gives you rhe maximum red orbs in DMC5 out of spite. Took about an hour to do but it was worth it. I am also ashamed to say i bought the costumes for Resident Evil 2 and 3 remake. But i did use a gift card i was given so it wasn't technically my money

I mean, they kinda deserve it to be honest, next thing you're gonna tell me is that this game is over 200gb, the problem with the transactions is that, for example costume and skin transactions, the more realistic games get the harder the design becomes, I can't blame them because the design team doesn't wanna do it if they don't get paid a lot for it, but most animations should be cheap if they're from another games they made cuz that's just copy and paste animation coding. I’ve played all these capcom games and I never bought any of their dlcs. I feel like we’re barking up the wrong tree. These dlcs are cringe but completely unnecessary while games like Destiny 2 are charging for 50 dollar expansions plus battlepasses and dungeon access for an additional 10 dollars that locks in game items. Destiny 2 also has an in game shop and a pvp game mode which means if you refuse to pay for the battlepass you are at a disadvantage aka pay to win. Or how about Diablo 4 a 70 dollar game with an in game shop and a 10 dollar battlepass. But yeah whatever let’s go after the single player game with pointless micro-transactions.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is the closest thing people are getting similar to an Okami game from Capcom for now. It has a similar art style when you compare Okami and Kunitsu-Gami.

You don't get it. Capcom is the best for including theae pointless dlcs. Let's be honest sadly we live in a time where dlcs is something a game must have. It's probably shareholder related or who knows. But the fact that they are useless in capcom games you can really just look past them. They are here for the shareholders or for people with money and no time. The games don't feel grindy so you don't need them. It would have been far worse if they included a vocation or weapons and armour sets as launch dlc. I don't get the negative crtitcism at all. On the other hand maybe this criticism will stop them to include a truly shady dlc practice. But idk...Capcom rocked it these past years so respect to them.

For real it is stupid and all bud it is completly optional, it dosn´t make great game into horryble unplayeble trash and it is optional. The portcrystals in-game are super scarce for most of the game. You only start getting enough when you don't need them anymore. Definitely wasn't a problem in the first game

@@dzmitrysatsukevich805 the point is they intentionally lowered the amount of port crystals you can get in order to create an incentive to buy the micro transaction. Horrible business practice. Edit: port crystals aren't comparable to ammo, they save a lot of time, more like film reels or the saving stations themselves.

And as i see from description of dlc crystal you can place 10 for entire game, including paid and in-game crystals, so it seems like they really don't want to let you fast travel
