I don’t think I ever faced Shin Akuma or God Rugal in this game before. I only faced normal Rugal though. I also heard the two bosses are insanely hard. Frustrating as hell too. Holy shit. Have yet to experience the hell of fighting the two final bosses of Capcom vs. SNK 2.

So when did Shin Akuma become a character? My understanding is that he only existed in the battle against his former master. Was that story created for Shin Akuma or was it the other way around?

Beat shin Akuma then he becomes playable however his player hp is very low

I think he may have first appeared in SF2 if not SF3. Regular Akuma was kind of a hidden character to begin with, but Shin Akuma was I believe a hack or cheat version of regular Akuma with two fireballs back in 2nd impact. I think Alpha series as well.
