This is a game changer. Found this video on accident and happened to have CapCut mobile already. Tried the transcript part and trimmed a 15 minute video to 7 minutes of strictly the content I needed, IN LESS THAN 2 minutes!!!! Wow wow wowwww it would have taken me an hour or more plus the amount of space this saves on your phone having larger unedited videos. Unreal bro thank you for this

there is a similar feature in Davinici that does that. It is indeed a big time saver. Otherwise you lose out on like 1h - 2h just by manually going through everything. One feature that Capcut has right now a leg on over Davinci is to me the magic mask. It is just for my cases way better in cutting out videos or images. Especially on Anime stuff. Most AIs totally struggle to deal with that format. And sadly Davinci is no exception.

Davinci is free right?? I've been wanting to try it out but I wanted to ask how well does the automatic silence remover work on Davinci because Capcut sometimes cuts off part of the word when I go to delete a part of silence so then I have to manually go in and correct what it did

I don't have pro I am using the Free version I tried to make it clear that you can use the transcript based editor for free you just can't do the 1 click option for free anymore, it was free. But even still it automatically finds all silences all you have to do is click delete on each one which saves a huge amount of time and is way faster than regular timeline editing. I am not using a patch, you saw on my video I am on the free plan I didn't have the pro version, there was a button on the timeline if you hover your mouse over it it says transcript-based editing, this is Free it does not say Pro and you can clearly see that on my video, the option to remove all silence and filler words in one click is the Pro version, but you can still edit your videos using the transcript and it is completely free my friend please watch closely on the video you will see what I mean

Then the app offered the upgrade from 3.3.0 to version 3.4.0 and after the update the option is gone. No icon for transcription-based editing. I uninstalled, cleared all the files and installed it again, no luck. This option is not available. I can add the automatic generated captions to the clips but no AI editing is available for me :(

Idk my brother it could be a number of different reasons why you don't have it, since I made this video I had so many people tell me they don't have it. Remove filler words is a part of the transcript editing feature so try clicking that and see if it brings up the transcript, the weird thing about capcut is that depending on where you live different countries have different features

Sorry about the confusion but I did specify the Transcript-based editing is a completely free feature everyone can use. Yes you have to manually click delete however capcuts AI has already analyzed and selected all areas of silence you just click delete on all of them it's way faster than traditional timeline editing at least for me. The option to remove all the silence in one click is for Pro users hopefully that clears it up sorry for the confusion

At 5:15 he clearly states that an upgrade is necessary to use this tool this way but even without it still highlights the areas for you. You just have to manually delete them. Still saves you a ton of time.

I just bought the DJI Osmo 3 and the app that they recommend using is called Lightcut. I installed it this morning (free) and omg it is amazing for doing exactly this with it's One Tap Edit. You can use it for any kind of footage, including anything just filmed on your phone.

Thanks for this video - really good information. Here are two suggestions that will make this and your other videos even better: (1) ZOOM IN to show what you're talking about. For example, when you say something like "You can see here it says 4.05 seconds of silence" (or something like that) ... I could NOT see it, and that was very frustrating. I even paused the video and zoomwed way in on all parts of it, and I still could not see it. So you need to zoom in on the video to show us exactly what it is you're doing when it is lest than totally obvious. (2) Your voice is very good as far as being loud enough and distinct enough, but when you did the playback of the video being edited, we could not hear it at all, first because it wasn't loud enough and second because your backgroundmusic covered it up. I think if you add these two considerations to your future videos, they will be much more useful to your viewers. Thanks again for a super video.

I thoroughly enjoy using this feature. I have a 90-minute video, and I'd like it to automatically remove spaces. However, the icon doesn't appear, and I'm up to date, even in the beta version. I deliberately turned on the proxy and converted it to MPEG-4, but I still don't see any changes. My system has ample power with a GTX 3070, 12GB of RAM on a 16GB computer, more than enough caching space, and a robust CPU running Windows 10. Despite this, the icon remains elusive, and everything else appears to be the same.

It seems strange for a country to matter, especially when there is no language barrier needed for editing, especially when the video is in English. Other AI pieces work perfectly fine in the software, and I can see at least three or more AIs, just not the one that matters for the biggest function I use.

yea if you have a lot of clips what you can do is put all of them on the timeline then select all of them by just clicking and dragging your cursor over all your clips and then right click and choose "create compound clip" that will turn them into one clip and then you can use the transcription-based editing feature . hope that helps!

In script editing, sometimes I see that it makes a mistake and doesn't pick up the exact word or words. Have you had this happen? Because I thought you should mention how to correct a word spelling error in the script editing. I said Maddog, and it spelled, Met Dog. So, how do I correct that in the script?

It's not really necessary because you're just using the script to edit, it doesn't show up on the video, if your using the auto caption feature you should be able to just click on the caption and manually change the spelling

Unfortunately depending on what country you're from and if you're on a Mac for some reason Capcut isn't giving everyone the same features. I didn't know this until all the comments I got from people saying they don't have this feature

That tool is not on all capcuts 🤷🏻‍♀️ i am on mac desktop, and i am missing a lot of tools, so its only cool for those that have it, probably pc users..

I looked that up and it seems like it used to be on Mac and iPhone but now a lot of people are saying after the update it's no longer on Mac. That's the one thing that annoys me with Capcut all features should be the same for all users 😞

@@AIWebbTV different problem here...got exited after seeing your video and tried to upload a wav, then a mp4 and nothing is not working. The material shows up on the side, but then transcription pressed I get an error message. I troubleshooted online in blogs - found lenght does not must exceed 15 minutes, cut material in sections below, loaded them up, still same error message. Deleted all but one 14 minute piece, same error message and found eventually a reddit post from 3 years ago with last answer two years ago, all people facing same problem. Congrats on Capcuts-team for fixing this bug within time...not...lol

Yes you can choose which scenes you want to be deleted and if you want some to remain in there

I'm sorry to hear that man I have been getting so many people saying they are from outside the U.S. and they don't have this feature. Someone tried using a VPN from the U.S. and redownloading Capcut and more features showed up , unfortunately I have no idea if that will work for you

Help me out. Used Capcut desktop for 1st time the other day, but when it came time to download it seemed like it wanted me 2 pay to get my file. Did i miss something?

Capcut is free so when you went to download did it say something like you need to upgrade to Pro to download? If so that means you used a pro feature within your editing, if you notice on certain things like effects and other features inside Capcut they are marked Pro on the top left corner, these features are only for paid users, so in order to download your video for free you must remove any feature that you used that is marked Pro. I hope I am explaining that in a way you understand, let me know if your still having trouble

I'm using MacOs and I'm on CapCut 3.3.0 - it says this is a PRO feature. It analyzed mine and will only export the video if I upgrade unfortunately. Maybe they had it in Beta and now it's only for pro users?

For me it let's me click on the transcript-based editing and use this function for free, once I'm editing the transcript there is a button at the top that says remove all silence and filler words , that option is marked for only Pro users, but as far as editing using the transcript it shows as free for me, I have gotten a lot of comments from people saying either they don't have this feature at all or it is for Pro. It seems that Capcut isn't giving the same features to everyone, Mac users have different features from windows and also people from different countries have different features. I have no idea why Capcut is doing this

@@AIWebbTV yeah … I see the transcript but to delete anything that’s identified, it’s the pro version only. I love using iMovie, Final Cut Pro and CapCut depending on the video I’m doing but I do agree that CapCut is haphazard based on the platform and user.

Ohh well maybe using something like pro tools or audacity first to view with details the audio form and then once you get it right import it into Capcut? I'm not sure if that would work for you but yea I know what you mean the timeline is really small for editing like that

@axelezequiel97 --On a Mac desktop, you can use a mouse with a scroll wheel (or an apple magic mouse) to quickly zoom in, by using the "command" + scroll wheel (or forward swipe on an apple magic mouse) and it zooms right in to sub-frame accuracy. If you're having trouble actually viewing the audio wave-forms in a video (because they are sooo small in CapCut, yes it's such a pain!), just right-click the video, "extract audio", and CapCut creates an audio file with peaks that are much easier to see and work with.

The problem is that for whatever reason people in different countries have different features for some reason Capcut isn't giving everyone the same features. If you're from outside the U.S. I have had people tell me they tried deleting Capcut then they used a VPN from U.S. and download it again and new features showed up they didn't have before. But I have never had to do that so I can't guarantee that would work

So many people are having the same problem where they don't see this option. Not only India but even people from U.S. don't have the option. I don't know how to fix it, I had someone comment from Brazil saying they deleted Capcut then used a VPN to download again and more features showed up but if you're already using VPN I'm not sure how to fix it , Capcut just needs to give everyone the same features I'm sorry I don't any way to fix it 😞

Has this not been rolled out across version 3.4.0? I am not seeing the button in the toolbar. It randomly popped into my window as a tile to the left and I used it for my latest video but once I exit capcut for something, that window/tile was gone and I haven't been able to find it yet. Anyone else experiencing this feature to be buggy?

@@NatGreenOnline yea that is what I was planning to do next on my side too; I am in Canada and most likely it just rolled out for the US. That said, I am seeing it appear “randomly” a lot more in my CapCut now so they might be testing an A/B test of it for here…or maybe it’s just a bad feature flag 😂
