Truly one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited. Can't wait to be in Cape Breton again!

I rode the trail in '78 and spent an afternoon at Gut St. Anne's for the Gaelic Mod. Thank you for bringing back those wonderful memories.

Beautiful. Cape Breton is one of the most beautiful areas on earth. I love it because it's quiet too. :)

Talking with 2 couples I met while out for a Ride one day and told them I was planning a trip to Nova Scotia, they told me they did that Ride last summer and it was incredible! They said one thing I should plan into my Ride was "Cabot's Trail", they did it but it was not planned and cost a bit more time! It was also well worth the extra time and to figure it into my Ride, after watching the "Time Lapse Video" I most definitely am going to add this to my visit to Nova Scotia, it is truly a road for a motorcycle! I am already getting the itch to go and we haven't even reached Christmas yet, "Cabin Fever already setting in! The views are breath taking, up and down hills and lots of "twisties" along the coastline! I have always enjoyed vacationing in Canada and can not see any better way than to visit Nova Scotia on my H-D!!! Comon' Spring..... ;-))

Though living in Indiana, I've been fortunate to visit Cape Breton twice.....2001 for the Tall Ships in Halifax, and again in 2009 for a more dedicated drive around the "loop". We'll return....it's a wonderful place!!

+decalpro1 I'm more blessed to live as close as Halifax. Really unique music, I'm hoping I get to work in cape breton during the summer this year so that I can get more involved withthe fiddling

Great Brad. Keep on with the fiddling. Glad you shared that. Just came back from staying at Gaelic College near Baddeck. The fiddles are incredible. Teachers like Boyd MacNeill, Lucie McNeill (Both from the Barra MacNeills), Rachel Davis, and Christy Crowley were the fiddle instructors. Dara Smith-MacDonald, Kyle and Rodney MacDonald provided fiddle entertainment. Wow. For stunning beauty of scenery, Cape Breton is a stunner.

Definitely be sure to do the Cabot trail if you're going to come to Cape Breton - but don't just do the highland portion, be sure to experience the Inverness county portion of the trail as well, as the sights here are just as beautiful and not to be missed!

The music in this video is from Cape Breton's very own "The Cottars". I agree it's not the most traditional of the islands fiddling style but amazing non the less. Cape Breton just has so many talented musicians.

Beautiful video, but the Fiddling doesn't sound quite right. Not enough dirt in the bow. Anyone know who is providing the music for this? I am guessing they're not Cape Breton musicians.

Cape Breton was annexed by mainland nova Scotia in 1864, or in that time approx,, we are an island people, to us, nova Scotia starts on the other side of the canso causeway! We do not accept their claims that we are nova scotias master piece! We are cape Breton islanders!!!!!!!
