Well well done. If you come to visit again, I'm sure you will right! There is one very unrated part of Nova Scotia that will knock your socks off. Check out the Cliffs of Fundy Geopark. Research hiking along the bases of the cliffs out lowtide. Research well, you cannot get caught on this hike by a rising tide! The beauty almost rivals the Cabot Trail and I love the Cabot Trail.

I really missed Nova Scotia. I lived there for a year and half mostly exploring the twin cities. Yes Peggy’s cove and the Cabot trail in Cape Breton is a must visit. The iconic Citadel too is really amazing.

Made the trip in the summer in 2021, Cabot Trail, Chéticamp, Inverness, Ingonish, Baddeck and finally Halifax, Lunenburg and Peggy's Cove. All such beautiful places! I hope to visit the South part of Nova Scotia in a near future...

I’ve been going to the Maritimes for about 10 years and have now completed 9 trips. In 2022, I spent 4 months in the region. In ten days, you’ll hardly scratch the surface. Ten years ago, it was mostly undiscovered. But now people have flocked there from all over the planet. Lunenburg has mostly been Disneyfied as people from Toronto and Vancouver have moved in. I’ve been lucky in that I have a Sprinter RV and can get into the city or in the remotest corners and go unnoticed. I’ve been to every inch of Nova Scotia, Cape Breton, New Brunswick, PEI, Newfoundland and Labrador. There are parts of it that are still lovely, and then there are the parts of it where you’ll find over development, excessive tourism, a high cost of living, and poor management by local officials .
@rickdavis6217 ай бұрын
Can you suggest some parts of NS and Newfoundland that are not Disneyfied? We will be there in August this year and love the outdoors..thank you.

If you go over the cabot trail on your sportbike, stop by one of the other local guys on his sportbike and ask him how many RCMP Police cars were in the parking lot of the Police Station when he drove by ... you see ...we drive past the RCMP station, and IF there are SEVEN cars in the parking lot, then there are NO cops cars patrolling the best spots to FLY on, and then we go out and drag our footpegs for the next hour or so. I'm 64 years old, still drive my 99 Suzuki GSXR 750 as fast as it will go, everyday. PS: To anybody visiting the Cabot Trail, REMEMBER to drive around it COUNTER CLOCK WISE for 2 important reasons ...if you drive around it counterclock wise, you get to see OVER the edge when going up and mountains, so you and more importantly, your partner will see so much more when looking down 1,400 foot drop-offs from the RIGHT hand side of the road, instead of being on the inside, where you see nothing. And now, the most important reason to drive around the cabot trail counterclock wise ....when going counterclockwise up the mountains, you will have a STEEP climb UP the mountains and then a gradual roll down the other side over a much longer stretch of road, which would you rather ... climb UP and the big hill and coast down the other side, or drive up the longer, but more gradual side of the mountains and then go DOWN the other side with your foot on the dam brakes all the way down ... which do you suppose it harder on your car and more stressful on your passengers, especially when they start to SMELL your brakes getting hot halfway down MacKenzie mountain !!!!!

Nope, Nova Scotia is not even close to Canada's most beautiful place. The lady should travel more. The other problem is that every attraction takes hours of driving. Car rental, hotels and restaurants are very expensive in the area. That makes travelling very inefficient and thus expensive ... you need a lot of days just to see a few things. And Peggy Cove is a rundown fishing village with a light house. Oh forgot to mention the $70 motels in Ontario cost you $300 bucks in Cap Breton.
