Part one of our attempt at completing the Cape Wrath Trail. Arguably the hardest trail in the UK. We had planned this hike for over 2 years. Follow us on our journey.

Thank you so much for your kind words about my dog, it was a nice surprise to see. His name is Obi. He was meant to be with me on my CWT last year but he threw up in the tent on our practice trip, so I thought it would be better to leave him at home. The rock was so he could be on the trail in spirit. I started 30/03/2023 but I didn't think to put a date on the rock. I wished I had of done, when I seen dates on alot of the other rocks. Good luck with the rest of your trip, i'm looking forward to watching it!

Just found the channel Al and Sandi, after Al pointed me to it. (I think that was at either Kinlock Hourn or Shiel Bridge.) Nice to see you also came across the same adder in Cona Glen as we did a few days earlier. It was sunny then though, so we almost stepped onto it when it was getting its tan in the middle part of the track. An Aussie who has lived in Scotland for 15 years, later on told us this black adder is deadly... We were able to cross the stream to Glendessary on the left side, where there's actually a path. This made a huge difference! Further down, the trail becomes a kind of track and then the track crosses to the other side. We were even able to keep our feet dry. 🙂 As a Dutch, it's still hard to follow the Scottish accent. But I'm trying!

Hey it was good to meet you. Yes the adders were out and about a lot! I'm going back to do it all again next month from the beginning. Sandi won't be with me as she is getting treatment for her knee. Lol yes I believe your English is way better than mine! 😂

subbed to your channel today. wonderful, but abrupt ending. IMO we like to see an end of day meal and a summary of the day, good luck to you both

Great to see you out on the trail. Give yourselves a break and forget the 'walk throughs' you have a long way to go! I did the CWT in 2022 and thoroughly enjoyed it, as will you.
