Cape York | Bramwell Junction Roadhouse to Eliot Falls

In this episode, we start by unhitching the van at Bramwell Junction Roadhouse and head onto the Old Telegraph Track towards Palm Creek for a quick look. Given how early it is in the season, the water levels were very high, and with no one else around, crossing was out of the question! We decided to return for the van and then made our way to a great little free camp right at the entrance of Fruit Bat Falls. From there, we re-joined the Old Telegraph Track and drove out to Eliot Falls, where we had the entire place to ourselves!

Thanks Matt, glad you enjoyed them, we truly love the travel life and everything that goes with it. Living a minimalist lifestyle was something we never thought we would end up doing but here we are, over four years in and would not have it any other way. 😀😀🍻👍

I bet! There were a lot of graders on the road when we went up, but they were only just starting. Apparently, all those big washouts are fixed now and a lot less water. 👍👍

@Ducksouttheredoinit yup, we be back to the tip when we have more time to do the full OTT, but not this time! The green ant nests are fascinating, that one was gone the next morning! They jas packed up shop overnight and moved out! Hope all is well. 😀😀🍻👍

@pailac Thanks, we were up there for the last 2 weeks of May. It was interesting to see the difference going up vs coming back. Heaps more people heading up in early June. Then it goes crazy once the school holidays hit. 🍻👍
