Thanks for the feedback glad you liked it. I have a fair bit of footage I have taken on trips in the past so slowly working on making more videos. It’s kind of hard to edit them as they were never filmed to make KZbin. I am getting there slowly. I will definitely be much better at getting footage on any of my future trips as I now know what kind of footage I need to get so that it can be edited properly. I really appreciate your interest. Cheers Luke

Yeh mate that’s where the croc stalks me he’s been in there for years and he’s getting bolder and bolder. This footage was from a couple of years ago but I fished there again last trip in August and he was really bad he came up on me and a mate a few times over an hour he’s definitely getting way used to humans. He’s just under 5m. He was up on the bank lying in the white dust in a rain shower and when a mate and I drove up he slid into the water we were able to measure him pretty accurately due to the really clear dry outline he left in the dust where he had kept the ground dry. We got him at 4.8 but I would say there would be a bit more of him as the thin end of his tail would have been unlikely to cover the dust from the rain. Great country up there and good fun fishing. Thanks for the comment hope you enjoyed the video. Cheers Luke

Great viewing mate. Biggest croc we saw was at midway waterhole. We were only their 5 minutes and he cruised past just letting us know he was there. Was nothing sneaky about him but he was a big boy. The drone footage is unreal.

Thanks for the feedback I really appreciate it. It is always great to see the crocs there are plenty up there a lot of people don’t see them but if you are lucky to see a big one they are impressive animals. There is one spot I fish each year and the big resident croc which is the first one I got the drone shot of and the still photo he constantly tries to stalk me and gets right up under the bank where I fish. He has taken a big fish off me once so now when I go there I don’t start fishing on that waterhole until I find him so I can keep an eye on him. That other big guy on the drone was cruising down the Kennedy. The biggest one I’ve seen was about 10 years ago out near the mouth of the Normanby I was in a feeder creek in my boat and a real big one came up near the boat it was a real impressive animal.

Thanks for watching. It’s a great spot for a solo trip I head up the cape every year as well and always stop and spend time in Lakefield when I can. I have spent a lot of time out at Cape Melville and Weipa Area with my boat so Lakefield is a great option if the wind gets too crazy which is pretty often out that way. Cheers Luke

Thanks for the comment mate. It’s certainly a fantastic part of the world I get up there each year and usually take my boat up with me once a year to Weipa area and do a fair bit of fishing and hunting. there is some fantastic spots north west of Weipa. I took my wife up last year with our caravan and took her out to Pennefather for the day she absolutely loved it. When I fish the wenlock I launch from the dirt ramp at Clough landing its a rad part of the world. I have some footage from a few trips up there I will try to edit something and post it.

Yes I have camped at penne for 26 years this year great spot, stay 6 weeks I get onto the good fingermark to 75cm and Black spot tusk fish to 63cm, and hunt some pigs with TO permission, I love the Wenlock we use to camp at the red cliff near batavia landing for years but shut now, I have my own Utube channel to.Tomkinson Productions, if your bored check it out its rough like me. @@AllTimeAdventureCo

I have been out to Penny a few times but never camped but plan to some time soon but have camped on the cliff near Batavia it’s a good spot shame it’s closed now. I do a fair bit of hunting when I can also. My dad used to run camps for geological expeditions up that way in the early 90,s and my parents have been up the cape simp Similar to you but they get out the east side to cape Melville they had been up about 26 27 years in a row only stopped the last few years as they are getting older but other family still go and have continued the pilgrimage. It’s definitely getting busier as the tracks get easier but still plenty of spots to get away from the crowds. I will definitely get on and give you a follow on your channel. Cheers Luke
